Anti gets shot during a hunt and dies in Dark’s arms, still spitting out sarcasm.
It’s only after he’s gone that Dark realizes all the things he should have said. He is distraught.
Since they are a unique species, not much is known about the life/death process. This is the first time this has happened, and considering how much faster they heal than humans, Dark didn’t know this was possible. He turns into a delusional mess and spends a long time grieving, to the point of contemplating his own death. -
