She could feel it. “Actually, he thinks you’re a poltergeist,” Rory commented not so innocently. “What?” Jess turned back to her. “He’s convinced you’re some form of malicious ghost or a biblical demon, the Roman Catholic sinning-metaphor-kind.” He broke into a full laughter, a genuine guttural surprise rolling out of him. Rory felt its heat across her chest like it was her own.
