Summary
Hunter gave them a shy smile, then he moved out of the way and opened his door. On his bed was guitar, a pretty red guitar with a carving of a simple cardinal on a tree branch. And, on the bed, an actual cardinal sat, tweeting happily.
Raine supposed that part was more what they weren’t supposed to mention to Belos. They chose to ignore the bird for the time being.

Eda thought her life would be chaos and mayhem, a rebel against a system that chose to live life by her own rules. Any notions of her being 'responsible' and Eda would have looked at you like you'd grown a second head.
It wasn't until a single mother with her child wandered through her portal and suddenly all that changed.
And the Boiling Isles, ancient and grotesque, feel the arrival of this wayward mother and daughter. And with them, the stirring of things far older and more primal than anyone can begin to understand.
