“Then what’re ya doin’?” Mark approached him, glaring up at Wallter with hostility, “What’re ya doin’ with yer life? Sittin’ around like a stick in the mud?”
Wallter heaved a low sigh. “I’m succeeding, Mark. It’s something you should consider looking into.”
Mark balled his fist, shaking with bitter rage.
"Succeeding?" Mark's voice cracked. "Is that what ya call it? Plastering yer face on every billboard in Robloxia? Choking down that poison till ya turned into a walkin' tombstone?"
Wallter's jaw tightened—the first real reaction Mark had gotten out of him. "At least I'm not destroying heavy machinery and nearly killing myself at work."
Mark is still wrecked three years after Wallter divorced him. He blames Wallter’s addiction to Grey Stuff for changing him and destroying their marriage, and nothing—work, dates, time—fills the hole Wallter left.

Summary
After three days of terror, three days of Hell unleashed on earth in the form of variants of one of the planet's strongest protectors, all variants of the hero Invincible were dead, or had mysteriously vanished. Or, at least, that's what the planet was led to believe.
A week after the war ended, Rex wakes confused, injured, and mysteriously not as a corpse in a cabin in the middle of nowhere. Or, it was mysterious, if there hadn't been a Viltrumite looming over him.
After saving his life for reasons Rex can't even begin to comprehend, the variant seems glued to his side, and is confusingly dedicated to keeping Rex alive despite his apparent purpose of bringing chaos and destruction in this universe. This Mark is a man of few words and even fewer real expressions, and when asked about why he saved him, why he was still in this universe when all of the other surviving Invincibles had disappeared, his answer is even more baffling than his solemn expression and curt words.
That Rex, this Rex from an entirely different universe, was his.

Summary
In this purgatory, 007n7 doesn't keep track of the amount of times they all had been sent to a place just to die brutally from some horrifying monster. Every single day, night after night, it's just endless impending doom. If whatever trapped him down here wanted him to lose hope, they probably got what they wanted.
Elliot continuing to talk to him, to interact with him, and to help him after everything he did isn't really making it any better. It just makes him confused, and the guilt eats at him despite it all.
