Summary
Evbo doesn't know his neighbor, and his neighbor doesn't know him. It benefits them both in the long run, Evbo does know.
It doesn't mean that he wants that degree of separation though. Desire curls within him, every time he imagines him.
He wants to know what that player just across from his house would look like when bruised and tender.
He wants to know what his flesh would feel like in between his teeth.
But he wants his hunger to be satiated much, much more. And if this is just a waiting game, then he'll be damned if he doesn't win it.
Or: Evbo and his neighbor share a meal together. It's very nice, all things considered.

Summary
When the flesh had been consumed, organs, muscles, bone marrow and all, the remaining scraps would be tossed into the Void. With that, the player was freed from the mortal realm, their body now safely scattered throughout the community.
Evbo had thought nothing odd about this in all his years as a Noob. He knew to be careful of Pros, as they often interfered with the ceremony, but the Pros interfered in any activity a Noob might do.
It wasn’t until he ranked up that he realized eating the dead wasn’t normal on the Pro layer.
Before Evbo can revive Seawatt, he must hold a funeral. He does it the only way he knows how.

a player is simply unable to leave the noob layer unscathed. it remains not a startling thing, the fact that the layer has left its mark on god himself, his body, his psyche, his holiness; it's predictable, for lack of a better word.
still, it's a shame that civilization's champion is to shoulder the weight of that injustice.
but what else is a champion to do when their god lies to them, his hand the one that feeds and strikes?
what else can emf be but loyal?

His gut twists at the moment, since something's not right.
Because Seawatt looks cruel. He looks like the masters who call noobs it, or like the pro with sunglasses who laughed in his face when he wanted to level up, and he doesn't look like Evbo's friend.
He just looks like- he just looks like another enemy for Evbo to defeat and move on from. But he doesn't want to move on. Because they're still friends, despite everything.
Aren't they?Or: a dramatic retelling of the scene in Seawatt's lab, right before Evbo gets first sent to the Evil Parkour Champion.

You just have to be brave enough to search it out.”He holds onto those words and takes in a deep breath. For a moment, Akira wonders what his mentors would think. What would they say if they found out he was using their lessons to attempt the seemingly impossible. He couldn't imagine them being all that surprised. After all, he's simply following in their footsteps.
A now chronological tale of how Akira saved the day, saved the boy, and the two past protagonists who taught him how to do it. Still has way too many jars and telling Fate to shove it.
