Dylan wakes up in a blind panic, kicking out and falling backward off of the log bench he's sitting on. Maybe it's a bit dramatic, but in his defense, he was just being pinned down in the kitchen, about to get his throat torn out by a goddamn werewolf. Sue him for startling.

Ryan’s confused frown all but disappeared, flattening out as he got what Dylan was trying to hint at. He had to bite down hard on his tongue to fight back the smile trying to break through, forcing his eyes away from Dylan’s expectant face before he loses the battle completely. “I mean… It’d depend on the guy, I suppose. I tend to look for more qualities in a guy than… whether he’s in possession of both hands or not…”
Dylan choked out a nervous laugh, swaying back and forth as he nodded once more. “Yeah, okay, that’s… that’s fair. So, uh… Let’s just say there’s this totally hypothetical guy who, hypothetically, doesn’t have a hand. What, um… What kinds of qualities would this guy need to have for you to be… interested?”

In his mind's eye, the ball floats gloriously through the air, curving up and then dropping down perfectly through the hoop. The net swishes as the kids erupt into cheers, and Dylan can be rest assured this his ‘cool points’ with the kids — and with Ryan — will forever be at the highest they can be.
In reality, the ball leaves his hands and beams Jacob right in the face.

“Yeah well one just saved my life and made a joke about New York’s rat problems.”
Silence over the radio.Or, New York City isn't prepared for a ghostly invasion. The Avengers are finally all in the same place again. Thor and Bruce are back from space with a semi-reformed chaos god and a thousand refugees in tow. Steve and the Rogues have got their pardons and are ready to start being heroes again. But Tony isn't ready trust, neither is his new protegee Spiderman. The fractured team can't seem to come together. It's a good thing then that Danny Phantom is ready to save the day. That doesn't mean anyone is prepared for when he keeps showing up.

Homecoming AU.
Ben and May divorced before Peter’s parents died, so when Ben is murdered Peter goes into foster care. It takes just a tiny taste of superpowers for Peter to decide he doesn’t want to put up with his horrible foster father anymore—the streets are infinitely more appealing. All he wants is to be Spider-Man anyway.
So he leaves.
Simple.
Simple, that is, until Iron Man needs Spider-Man’s help. Peter isn’t about to turn down an opportunity to fight alongside Tony Freaking Stark, but he also isn’t going to let his hero know that his recruit is a fifteen-year-old homeless dropout. So they strike a deal. Peter will help Tony. In return, the mask stays on.
And that’s when things get complicated.
