Jae whips his head around as the doors open, with Datu catching his breath. Did he run all the way here from his post? The Council had transportation and he did not. What in Ellora's name is Datu— Jae's eyes widen and his soul twists into knots.
"Datu," Jae's voice is merely a desperate whispering plea as his boyfriend rushes forth. "Datu don't, what are you doing—"
"I wish to confess something to the Elloran Council!… I am the one protecting the Avatar.”
Or: To protect Jae from being persecuted as the traitor who has been conspiring against Ellora with the Avatar, Datu claims it was him.

Sonic the Hedgehog Characters in a Project Hail Mary based plot. IDK how to summarize it. But here is my attempt:
Dr. Francis Stratt is in charge of Project Ursa, and with Westside’s time running out because of the Patrova line he needs a pilot.
With no one stepping up and not wanting to risk his own neck, Francis finds his answer in a four year old kit.
Miles Prower had been call many things, Useful and Chosen where things he was never called before.
For the first time in his lifetime, Miles has someone who cared about him. At least until he finds out it’s all an act.
Now Miles is trapped on a spaceship light years away from his home with no escape unless through death.
That was until a bright blue alien appears.

Summary
Being thrown in a water tower for all of eternity wasn't enough, apparently. It's not like the studio was in desperate need of three zany cartoon children for yet another cash grab, but here they were-- back at it again with a whole new set of adventures. When Plotz agrees to reuse the Warner Siblings for another attempt at a show, events around the lot got a lot more hectic, in every way possible. Especially when the Warners aren't the only ones involved.
OR
The Warners are given a chance to finally venture back out into the outside world to experience life all over again. However, living life to the fullest was easier said than done. Hell, they were toon stars with a lot of pressure on their first lines-- no one said it was going to be easy. But with the help and support of a few lifelong family friends and a whole new cast of chaotic characters, the Warners learn both the harsh and valuable truths that come with being a toon star... Will it all be worth it in the end?

The Caped Crusader exhaled exhaustedly as he allowed himself to sink into a nearby armchair. “Alright, I will give you a short debriefing for now. You will still have to show up tomorrow to pick up the kid though.” He relented.
That last sentence was just enough to cause a seething Superman to pause.“Wait, did you say something about a kid?”

Jason Todd came back from the dead expecting to finish what he started.
He didn't expect to find a little boy waiting for him in the depths of the League's headquarters.
The boy has white hair, green eyes, a frightening talent for violence, and absolutely no idea what it means to be a child. He doesn't trust Jason. He barely understands kindness. And Jason, despite everything he's been through, can't bring himself to walk away.
So Jason takes him with him.
What starts as a rescue slowly becomes something neither of them expected. Jason teaches child how to eat without fear, how to sleep without a weapon beneath his pillow, how to laugh, how to play, and eventually, how to simply be a kid.
In return, the little boy gives Jason something he thought he'd lost forever.
A reason to come home.
As Gotham waits for the return of its dead Robin, Jason's carefully planned future begins to change. Revenge becomes less important. The Red Hood becomes something different. And somewhere along the way, the boy Jason rescued becomes his little brother.

Tom and Maddie had their work cut out for them when they decided to adopt three traumatized alien children. By curious happenstance, all three had been isolated and forced to fend for themselves due to circumstances outside their control. However, Tails presented a unique challenge.
While Sonic and Knuckles' circumstances were no less tragic, they spent a few years under the guardianship of someone who loved them. They had memories of being cared for, of receiving instruction on how to navigate the world. Tails had no such memories, and essentially raised himself. The differences between their youngest and his older brothers are subtle and pose challenges, but they’re all committed to helping Tails understand he’s loved and a member of the family.

When Lex orders all remaining projects pertaining to cloning be destroyed, Subject 13 runs from the ruins of Luthorcorp into the ruins of Metropolis. He doesn't know anyone, he can't trust that every new face isn't a spy sent to kill him too, and he sure as hell isn't going to run to Superman for help---after all, Lex always talked about how evil he was.
When Lois finds documents about multiple other clones, Clark focuses his efforts on finding and hopefully befriending this one, since things ended so bad with Ultraman. He never expected to see a 12 year old boy being hunted across the city.
