Summary
After the deaths of his parents, Jon's grandmother takes him to the kingdom of Adraesia to meet the young Princess Georgie. Soon enough the two are best of friends, through childhood and into adulthood.
Years after they last saw each other, Georgie sends a letter urging him to come visit her. He agrees, and they devise a plan: to get their parents off their backs when it comes to marriage, they stage a fake marriage. Georgie is in love with a daughter of a noble, and Jon figures he'll never marry anyway.

...But what if we didn't?
Welcome to a story where boy meets another boy right after uni, at a cafe, and then again at a mechs concert. Martin re-invigorated Jon's love for performing and gave him his creative spark back. 5 years later, Jon's just been promoted to head archivist, and of course this causes all the usual drama- but Jon has an actual support system, in the form of his husband, and his bandmates, and best friends Daisy and Georgie. This doesn't stop bad things from happening, just... changes them a bit.
AKA a chatfic which explores the idea of Becoming, Jon having actual friends, and JonMartin being married at the beginning of season 1!!Series

Summary
Jonny does not mean to end up at her door. He certainly never means to go back. Yet somehow he always does.
This is my own take on Dr. Carmilla experimenting on her children. Jonny does everything he can to protect the rest of her crew, which often results in painful consequences. This is mostly from Nastya's POV as she handles taking care of the aftermath of Carmilla's experiments. She feels useless and like she can't do anything to stop the torture Jonny endures for the sake of the rest of them.
Then she does do something about it.
There is no description of the actual medical procedures because I am 1. Not a doctor and 2. Scared of researching any of that.
Most of the gore is pretty mild.Updates were very loosey-goosey. Sorry :(
The sequel is called Luck Wasn't Meant to Live This Long. (It's got lots of OC work and it's separate from this so it's not in a series) -

Summary
Martin had never been the type of person to listen to popular music. It made him feel ridiculously pretentious to say it, but it all felt so superficial. All those songs about love and sex and breakups felt so… detached. Emotionless even as the singer was supposedly pouring their heart out.
He supposed this was part of the reason he liked poetry. Good poetry, where the feelings are so strong you can almost taste them, where you can hear the sounds pinned down by ink on the paper. Martin had been trying his hand at writing his own stuff recently, but it was never much good. It always felt so cliche.
This is probably just a long way of saying that he liked a good story, and definitely a roundabout way of explaining why he enjoyed listening to the Mechanisms so much.
(or to put it another way, Jarchivist Sims is Jonny D'Ville and Martin doesn't realise. Gay shenanigans occur. Now with Angst™)

Martin's life was... Okay. Not good, certainly not great, but he made it by.
But much to Martin's surprise, things... actually seemed to be improving. He was getting closer to his not-so-secret crush Jon, and a better life seemed just on the horizon for the pair. Hell, Martin might even finally get the nerve to confess his feelings.
