Summary
When the news of the end of the world starts to hit, former Titans teams take every measure they can to save as many people as possible. Some teams, like Titans East or Titans West, manage to seal off entire areas like the headquarters and Dream’s dimension with the use of their powers and tools.
The teams that have lost their powers, that have lost their weapons and fighting skills… Very few survive. The list of the ones who live is tiny.
Because here’s the thing: Once a titan, always a titan. When faced with the world falling and people dying, a Titan knows their duty, their job, their responsibility. They will fight to save as many people as they can even if that requires their destruction.

There are some Titans who live, however. Some escape their fallen cities, who make it to Elysium. They arrive on buses, some in colors that will never be theirs again and with any items that they could grab before they ran.

(Would it really be worth it to have a world without the legacy of the Titans? A world where there is never a legion of heroes, where the towers aren’t full of generations of Titans when the armies arrive?)
There are worlds where Joker or Lex Luthor or Trigon or Vandal Savage storm the world and win, where humanity falls because there is no one to save it, to fight for it.
There are some universes where Trigon is never released, where Joker doesn’t turn insane, where Vandal Savage is mortal and lives a normal life, where Martha and Thomas Wayne aren’t killed and thus the Titans never have to rise to fight.
There are worlds where there are kids who never grow up to become Titans, who live peaceful lives never knowing the taste of steel against their skin or the smell of their blood and sweat, or the feeling of their tight armor and masks, and there are worlds where some kids never grow up at all.
