All of the stars and the inky black were gone, and all that was left was Scar's huge hands gripping him close and his leg between Scar's thighs and his nose pressed into Scar's shoulder. All of him surrounded by all of that, and the unfortunate feeling that he'd never been so fucking close to something he wanted while also nowhere near it.
The grip on him was tight, and Grian whispered, "Let me go."

She was taken aback as soon as she got a clear line of sight of the woman of the hour. Apo was on her hands and knees, an anguished expression on her face as she struggled to get back upright. Above her, casting shadow over her entire form, were two massive gray-ish wings. They were the same warm gray as the rest of her feathers, and were currently bristling and twitching a bit, as if still trying to figure out where to rest behind her.
Pearl was simply in shock. Morpheus had rewarded Apo’s might… with wings. And they did not look happy about it. Her own wings, much less impressive things, fluttered beside her head as she thought about it. The pained, fearful look in their eyes as they realized just how public of a spectacle they had become flashed in Pearl’s mind. She had to find Apo.

Things were easier when he was living alone and there was nobody else around to notice things like the powder down that he scatters all over the place when he hasn't preened himself properly in too long. At least, they were until someone reaches out a helping hand.

When someone else walks through the door, the staring contest dissolved with his Handler as the winner after Hawks whirled around to assess the new threat in the room. Juice drips from where his grip had crushed the juice box, further staining his clothes and making a mess on the bar top. Hawks continues to blink owlishly at the newcomer. The person, who seems to be made of shadow, rather than it clinging to him, looks at him with mild interest, a towel and a bar glass in his hands. His eyes move to address Hawks’ Handler.
“He’s very,” the man pauses, as if choosing his next words carefully, "small.”
His Handler grunts in irritation, and Hawks almost chimes in that he's sorry, he knows he supposed to be bigger.
A hesitant pause.
“Was it-?”
“Fuckin’ drop it,” his Handler spits out.
“Ah, I see,” the other hums tactfully, and wisely drops the topic. Hawks thinks that his eyes are pretty, the color of a flower that grows in the part where he meets Touya sometimes, but he doesn’t tell him. He's not supposed to meet anyone, and he's not supposed to speak without permission.
Or: Hawks get's de-aged and the league takes care of him

“Oh, right” Dabi snorts, looking angry and sarcastic, “your life must be so hard.” He flings his hand out as if to showcase Hawks’ apartment, and the hero feels a hollow feeling nest in his chest as his tired eyes follow Dabi’s gesture. His apartment is nice, he knows that, but he also knows that it’s as empty as he feels right now. Even Dabi’s hand falters and drifts back to his side as he takes in the empty apartment with its blank walls and cream colored furniture. It could, Hawks supposes, be taken for stylishly minimalistic, rather than hardly lived in. And he just wants to sleep in his rarely used bed, he feels like falling over and his vision is blurry, but Dabi is staring at him, looking for answers that he doesn’t want to admit to. Hawks feels like he’s drowning as he chokes out a small agreement without looking the other man in the eyes. Dabi was right, in a way; he had everything he could ever want, and therefore no reason to complain. It didn’t matter what his apartment was like anyway. He was willing to bet money that he slept at his desk on top of reports more than he did in his room, or just his apartment in general. It was the life that he got for being a hero, and he embraced it.

Hawks takes baby steps backwards, getting closer and closer to the door, as everyone continues to get loud and look at eachother for answers. Well, almost everybody; Dabi is watching him limp away with an unimpressed expression.
“Those are torture wounds,” Shigaraki points out, crossing his arms and leveling Hawks with a dead-eyed stare.
“How do you even know what torture wounds look like?” Hawks throws back as he continues to plan his escape. Shigaraki looks at him with raised eyebrows until Hawks looks away again, feeling like an idiot. These people are villains, he knows that (but its so easy to forget-).
“Right, fuck.”
Hawks flicks him a two fingered salute before turning tail like the coward he feels like and making for the door. He doesn't get more than four feet before Dabi grabs him by one of his wings and yanks him back.
