The question of why Blade was there was drawn to the forefront of his mind, but given that he appeared transfixed on the statue… another question eased its way ahead of the previous.

"Miss Kamisato gave me a vacation after I was hidden in the Tea house until the events blew over,” he replied against his shoulder, “I hung around the estate and did my chores, like cleaning ad negotiating with our links,” the Oni quirking a brow with a flat expression.
“That’s not a vacation,” he deadpanned, sighing softly through his nose. The guy sounded like a housemaid and workaholic. He sounded like he needed a real break, one that got him away from the estate and city in general, somewhere to hang and have fun-... gradually, a large cat like grin started spreading across his face, “I have an idea~... Ask Kamisato to give you another break and I’ll pick you up some time tomorrow evening,” he grinned cattishly.

“Who the hell are you, kid,” barely refraining from flinching again, he whirled around, eyes landing on a much, much larger man who’d been standing behind him. Dark skinned, more loosely portrayed military garb with a massive gun for an arm. He swallowed, apprehension growing. All he could feel from this man was pure, unhidden distrust and hostility, a volatile combination for whoever could end up on the other end of it.
