Most soul wrenching story I had the pleasure of reading. I have work at 8 and I’m sitting here needing several moments to stare at my bedroom wall at one of the most molecular shifting fics of my life. Read the tags (thank fuck cause there was STUFF) but oh my god…I love getting to the omg everything is ok chapters (consent IS sexy) and seeing I have like half of the fic left! Oh but maybe it’s all sunshine and fluff!! And bam, here comes the “you thought what we had was real” scene and all I can think about was wow, I’m playing chess with a dog and even when this dog telegraphed its moves to me, I still lost. 10/10 story

Summary
In his last year of high school, Shuichi Saihara gets asked out by a boy from his parallel class. He introduces himself as Kokichi Ouma, and everything about him is cute enough to meet Shuichi’s most-shallow criteria.
The cliché, yet light-hearted confession behind the school building had left him flushed and fidgety, and when Kokichi smiled at him, sweet, expectant, and mischievous, Shuichi’s thundering heartbeat was loud enough in his ears to drown out his winded affirmative.
It was close to perfect, and it would have been nothing short of a dream come true, if not for the messed-up fact that he was confessed to as a dare.
Overwhelmed by his studies, Shuichi takes a well-deserved break and looks for a temporary job.
It doesn't go well.
