Now, the vampire can’t stop thinking about them.
Noob keeps coming back, half out of curiosity and half because they have a feeling that the vampire might be just as lonely as they are. It turns from fear to fixation, from silence to something that almost feels like trust. But trust doesn’t mean safety. Not when there are other vampires observing. Not when the threats start to present themselves.
What they make won't last. Because, in the end, something always breaks.

He would bring cities to soil and earth to dust, would bring galaxies to ruin, would tear the very matter of the universe apart, if it meant it could not leave. And it could not, because he would not let it.

Summary
As usual, C00lkidd was doing what he needed to do. Get rid of the survivors, go back to the limbo where the Spectre stores the survivors and repeat the cycle like clockwork.
But then, as he got rid of the last survivor. He was met with someone familiar, a small pile of code forming in front of him, eventually forming into a small pill baby of someone familiar. Desaturated pale beige skin, and a burger hat with a tiny noob head at the top.
It was his father.
His dad, he missed him dearly.
Perhaps it was part of the Spectre's plan, something elaborate—something big that's gonna happen. Maybe even that it wasn't his father. Or maybe it was, But, he pushed those thoughts away, picking up the child gently in his arms, careful to not hurt him from his own claws.
He'll take care of this child, just like how his father did to him. Just this once, he'll let himself so.
He might not know how to, but he'll try his best, like how his father did for him.
