Coco doesn’t wake up gently.
Her body jolted, back cracking violently with the movement. Her arms flailed out, and her fingers clawed at the wet mud beneath her while her legs swung out wildly. She gasped for air desperately, but it was almost impossible to take a full breath without feeling the aching pain of something moving in the crevices of her ribs.
She wakes up confused with no idea where the hell she was and why it hurts so much. Her eyes burn as if they’re on fire, ugly tears streaming down her face.
Or
Coco wakes up with no memories in a forest with her brother. Together, they go on an adventure to find their missing friends.

The royal family of Antarctic empire isn’t exactly close.
Emperor Philza is always occupied; Tommy hasn’t seen Techno in months, and even if Wilbur is here, their relationship can be described to be strained at best.
The royal family doesn’t need to be close, however, it only needs to be balanced, like the pillars holding the country above their heads – as long as they are strong and steady, the Empire will be too. It’s the principle that held Tommy’s back straight and his shoulders broad through the years of hardships and trials of errors; through yet another formal meeting where his father’s gaze would look past him and where his brother’s words would be filled with poison that makes the deepest parts of his soul ache.
At that time, Tommy couldn't know that his family would find a replacement for him in the face of a commoner boy named Ranboo.

Reigen freezes. A few of the espers stiffen as well, lifting their heads up in confusion. After a moment, Hoshino coughs.
"Uh," he says. "Is it just me or is the building shaking…?"

Yet they did not stop the pain in his heart. The all-consuming loneliness that devoured him whole.
Tommy watched as the universe turned and grew around him, other star systems brimming with life and praising their star spirit. No one had ever praised Tommy for the light he brings. No one had ever said thank you for being you.
No one had ever felt the warmth of his smile.
Until that day.
