His gaze had changed, too. Darker somehow. Sharper. The weight of experience sat behind it now, lending a depth that made it difficult to look away from.
The years had left a mark on him, but not unkindly. If anything, they suited him.
His hair darkened into a deeper shade of dirty blonde, and streaks of grey had begun to thread through the stubble along his jaw. Combined with tiredness lingering around his features, it should have made him look worn.

You knew Leon needed comfort, someone or some place to run back to every now and then to recharge. However as the days go by, he doesn't leave. Which is fine, of course, you frankly just didn't expect him to stay for so long.
Looks like your open arms got you a roommate!
The only strange thing is he seems to be growing unusually jealous day by day.
