Summary
Suguru Geto has killed his parents. He doesn't know why, it's just a brutal fact that he has to face. And he finds himself unable to care. He's lacking in any sort of emotional connection to anything, really.
He's left laying on the streets, the blood of his caregivers seeping into his palms, staining and tarnishing his skin. He's resigned himself to a cage of misery and turmoil alike. He's already begun to conjure a plan of how to live his life, maybe turn to alcohol to forget anything more, to distance himself from the mortal plane.
That is, until his thoughts were interrupted by a man with an umbrella offers him a way out.
Little does he know, this would be far from an easy way out. Suguru Geto, in a path of finding himself, falls right back into the clutches of crime.

"Do continue," Getou said quietly, almost absentminded. "A brat from a Gojou clan. Isn't it?"
"How did you—ah," he barely managed to finish.
The second stitch came lower, the needle forcing its way through with a wet, resisting give before the silk followed, dragging tight through the flesh. Blood welled up again only to be pressed back in.
"All of you brats have those white hair," Getou replied through tight lips.
The silk darkened as it passed through him.
"At least give me something to drink you old man," Satoru rasped. His voice broke on the second part of the sentence.
The thread cinched again. A faint pause. Then, almost gently: "My warriors used to bite their tongues off before moaning like a bitch on the cot."
While taking a mission in a distant village Gojou Satoru discovers Getou Suguru a renowned warrior who was declared dead in the clan war.

"You're a good rider," Geto comments as he passes by. The visor's tipped up, just enough for his voice to come through, muffled. Just enough to catch a little glint in his eyes, too. "Thanks for showing me how you race. I'll be keeping it in mind."
Geto winks, a quick flash. A dampened laugh follows after him, almost swallowed up by the ticking engines, while Satoru is left there. Sitting still, watching, blood running too hot.
Gojo is a simple man. There’s just three things he needs: adrenaline, novelty, and for Geto to stop winking at him after late-night rides.
Incidentally, he’s set down the path of finding out how Geto really rides.

Yaga let out a dry, humorless laugh. “The Gojo clan signed a severance document years ago. Satoru is a 'State problem,' according to them. They won't lift a finger to protect him, but they won't let him die either. Their pride wouldn't stand for a Gojo being murdered by a sect.”
“Then... who protects him?” Suguru asked, though he already knew before he even finished the question.
Yaga stared at him. Those dark eyes, hardened by decades of making impossible decisions, did not blink.
“You.”

Satoru's stupid mouth has to go and say, in front of the most gorgeous man he's ever seen, “Yeah, now that you’re here.”
The man’s face drops and Satoru thinks for a terrifying second that they’ll have to roll him out of this damn cafe in a casket—not that he’d mind that Handsome Guy’s face is the last thing he’d see.
Then, like the goddamn heavens have just split open the sky, an angel's choir meets his ears. Handsome Guy is giggling. Giggling in every sense of the word; eyes squinted and crinkled with joy, hair slipping over his shoulder like an oil spill, a hint of sharp canines behind curved lips. Sure, it’s more of a chuckle but let a man dream.
“Sorry, that was terrible,” Satoru says, with a small, totally cool chuckle of his own. “I’m not usually that bad at pick up lines.”
“Yeah,” Handsome Guy agrees, stepping up to the counter to rest a hand against it and lean across it with a smile. “That was pretty bad.”

Satoru is very poor and very in love with a mysterious rich man he meets at his cafe job that seems to be holding more secrets than he's letting on--not that Satoru can speak, he's got too many of his own to count.

Geto gets possessed, and somehow he sees a life that fills so many of the holes in his heart. What will it take for him to defect?
He runs away from all the horrors of sorcerer life and builds a little found family far away from everything. Now it's been years, he lives a peaceful life when the Zenins kidnap his friend's kid and Jujutsu tech seems to have a problem with his son. It really doesnt help when he sees Satoru again.
Gojo finally realizes why Suguru leaving felt like a gunshot wound to the chest, but what is he supposed to do with that information? He has the Gojo Clan and his Sorcerer Job with Jujutsu tech, it's a lot but not enough to be happy, not when he can see Suguru living such a nice life away from him. And if Suguru could kidnap kids, why cant Gojo kidnap a few? They clearly need training…

A pack of wolves in the far North draws him in - the pack is unique, intelligent, perplexing - the perfect subject to study for class - and to satisfy his own curiosity. At the near-end of winter, the strangest thing happens - the pack vanishes, for no reason, and Suguru is left with more questions than ever before.
Satoru escaped from a research facility as a teenager, only to be saved and taken in by a trio of werewolves, like himself. They'd built a life for themselves out at the edges of society, close to the boreal wilderness which they retreated to each year to ride out the effects of the curse - to be trapped in wolf form for the winter. Through the time spent living with them, he'd figured out most of what being a human was about - a real human, not someone who grew up in a lab, not someone who lived a life of silence and isolation. They taught him how to drive (he's still bad at it), they made him get his GED (thanks to Shiu for the fake IDs), and they made him get a job, but, all of a sudden, they're giving him yet ANOTHER instruction- the alleged "next step": finding a mate.

This is not unusual.
What is unusual is the location—the corridor outside OR three is not, technically, a designated space for interdepartmental disputes. There is a process for that. There is a form. The form is a single page, double-sided, and it asks the parties to describe the nature of the conflict in neutral language and to identify three potential resolutions.
Dr. Geto and Dr. Gojo have never filled out this form.
The administrator who handles this form stopped expecting them to at around the four-month mark, approximately six years ago.
or: Geto and Gojo work in the same hospital. This is, according to most of the staff, a mistake.

Another sound knocks against the door, and Satoru freezes in his spot.
"Hello?" A voice from the other side reaches Satoru's ears, a bit quiet and muffled and so, so human. It's sounds achingly familiar, sounds like the voice he used to giggle and squirm against whenever it whispered teasingly in his ear. A familiar and loving sound that would wake him up every single morning of his youth with a soft kiss and a stare full of such admiration. But it also sounds like the voice that left him behind, the voice that gave him a heart just to break it. "I know there's someone there, by the way. You don't have to be scared."
"That's not a zombie," Tsumiki mutters from behind him, no longer stuck to the corner of the room and instead back by his side, expression clear of any previous fear.
"It's not," Satoru mutters back, just as shocked.
(Years deep into the apocalypse, Satoru comes face to face with Suguru, his ex and first love — and he is quick to realize that there is something terribly, terribly different about him.)
