Summary
Volo, a Merchant of the Ginkgo guild, seems to have their entire life written out ahead of them. However they never quite felt as if they fit in, their body changing in ways they did not desire, people perceiving them as someone-- something they're not. This drove them out into the wilderness at a young age and to never look back at the ones they used to call family.
They'd heard of the Ginkgo guild from elders, knowing they needed some way to sustain themselves alone they turned there and was given a job that'd keep them busy, away from people and hurtful words while exploring old mythical sites and learning about legends. They only needed to bring back something of value now and then, sell some items to customers and they'd be set for a good while.
However.. No matter how much they isolated themselves from the outside world the gnawing, horrible feeling their body is wrong didn't go away.
With the help of found family, understanding and people accepting of their identity the world seems to shine a little brighter but it isn't enough.Volo goes on a journey to seek out Arceus and force the god to bend their body to their will.

Four thought he could hold it all together; he had to after all. The colours wanted to reveal themselves on their own accord and not by force but... Four had really underestimated just how bad he was feeling.
The moment the Smithy tried to get up he was hit with a sudden wave of nausea that was accompanied by a dizzy spell, causing him his to lose his balance and fall over with a yelp.
Which then turned into multiple yelps as Four felt himself come undone.
He could no longer hold everyone together.
