I think Armand turned Daniel nearly the second Louis jetted out of Dubai, but I thought of a fun scene where Armand stalked him to NY instead and then I wrote a bunch of other stuff around it. Armand will suffer. Daniel will have to attempt to be Nice. A clinical psychologist is in over her head. They're all so afraid of loneliness.
He unlocks his apartment door and turns on the living room light. "Jesus christ!" he snaps. "How did you—"
The figure sitting in his easy chair with crossed arms is silent.
Daniel turns to his date. "You need to leave. Now."
"Who's this?"
"Doesn't matter, you need to go. Sorry."
"Okay. Jesus."
Daniel shuts the door. "What do you want?"
"I'm still deciding," Armand says.
"Louis said—"
"I don't care what Louis said." Armand pushes himself out of the chair and approaches.
Daniel backs away, keeping the coffee table between them. "Are you gonna kill me?"
"I don't know what I'm going to do." A strange smile spreads across his face. God, he's scary. He's also…
"Are you drunk?" Daniel asks.
"I don't know what they were on."

I found the end of Interview With the Vampire 1994 profoundly unsatisfactory. Lestat as Daniel's maker isn't that interesting. Lestat is still after Louis. They all could use a human buddy, but the person who really expressed a need in the movie for a modern companion to help him understand the changing world...well. You know who it was.

He was furious. They had stolen everything from him. They had stolen his freedom, his mind, his ability to choose, his happiness, because this video showed he had been happy once upon a time, his friend, his Steve Rogers, and he was going to claw it back, because they didn't deserve to win. They had pointed him like a weapon at someone who used to care for him and pulled the trigger. They did not get to determine his future anymore.

Summary
Flash, goes the camera in Daniel’s mind. The low lights in the bar catch on dark lenses of his glasses, reflecting back at him his own flushed face. He can’t see Armand’s eyes. Maybe that’s the point, hiding them away from the unsuspecting humans who all think he’s one of them.
A drink at the bar, a dance too close, the end of a chase, and the beginning of something far greater than either Daniel or Armand had prepared for.

Summary
