It had always been raining in Robert's world.
The storm was always there in the Horizon, howling and crackling with electricity. The storm raising above was always equal parts mesmerizing and terrifying—with the mighty power and unconquerable will that he used to have when there had been a plastic crown on his head. It was a mixture of lightning and thunder, frightening but ever so magnificent and the wind was like an orphan, lost and searching for a purpose.
But, then his crazy monkey boy is there and he becomes his blue crayon, the one Robert never has enough of, the one he uses to color his sky. The one that brightened up the inky abyss.
