Odysseus tightened her grip on her sword and shook her head as her eyelids grew heavy. "I won't let you kill them."
Circe's fingers danced over her sword, crawling closer to Odysseus' taut ones. "Of course not, brave man. Surely you would give anything for them."
Or, who says that Circe can't swoon female Odysseus? And Odysseus longs for her love no matter what universe.

Odysseus landed with a thud and pushed herself away from the goddess, her vision spinning as she tried to focus on the stars around her. “I thought you loved me,” she whispered, maybe to herself, maybe to Athena. “I thought you cared.”

Summary
Anakin is just another flesh bag born into slavery; the result of her mother being rented out one misfortunate night. Shmi had an easy birth, older than most poor girls, but it was still bloody and painful. When the new mother pushes one last time, the uncaring midwife cuts her child’s cord and lays the baby on her chest. Shmi breathes out, blinks to clear her teary vision, before facing the yellow haired, blue-eyed wonder before her.
Some of the other house slaves ask her who was the father, for Shmi is dark haired and has soft brown eyes that are weary with the years. The child is striking to behold, and some slaves even warn her to cover the young one with dirt to put off the Hutt’s greedy eyes.
Every time Shmi smiles as if in a daze and replies, “There was no father. She is the Mother’s Daughter, a Child of the Sands.”
Or: Anakin is a girl, and the Force has plans for her and her people.
