Optimus was trapped; he gripped his drink tighter as he fought to stop his combat protocols engaging. There was nothing to do and nowhere to go. All eyes were on him as Megatron finally ceased his march. His eyes glowed with a delight that only ever meant trouble. Optimus steeled himself, knocked back the last of his drink, and stood to meet his opponent.

Optimus needs to get out and talk to someone. Megatron needs to talk to anyone other than Soundwave. Somehow, they both end up at a Veterans’ Speed Dating event. Things can only go well.

Orion emerges, the tiny, weak bitlet Sentinel named himself. He is sure of the hatred he feels for Orion; sure, he'll resent Orion for being born. Sentinel desperately searches for it whenever he looks at Orion, his optics hovering at the tiny, silver pair of wings like his own on his back. Zeta points out how Orion has his optics, how both possess the same warmth whenever they're looking at something dear to them.
"I'll get rid of you when I don't need you anymore," Sentinel tells himself, whispering it to the cooing Orion in his arms.

OR Sentinel gets hopelessly attached to his sparkling, causing him to change his plans—the decision leading to an unknown future.

Prima comes back to Prime Tower, his steps frantic and his frame trembling, to check on his only treasure left. He arrives at the room Megatronus and he once shared, his panicked optics searching for a bundle he doesn't find. A piercing scream full of grief and sorrow engulfs the tower.
He wanders the halls like an apparition, his steps echoing like the loud silence. His steps guide him, his audials ringing with deafening static—he hears a muffled cry. Summary
Sentinel and the Jettwins are visiting Earth to help find more of the Allspark shards.
While on a mission to track one of these said shards, the Jettwins get caught in the crossfire and end up getting turned into cute little seekerlets. Furious that his soldiers are now useless sparklings, Sentinel shoves the responsibility onto Optimus while he goes back to Cybertron to find a way to fix the twins.
Now stuck with sparklings he has no idea how to care for Optimus, and his team tries their best to take care of the hyperactive twins. All the while, Optimus can't help but feel himself growing more and more attached to the little jets everyday and he starts to dread Sentinel finding a way to turn them back.

"The first old dusty datapads he found the poetry on were in the back of the library in the Elite Guard academy. They were worn and cracked, with peeling protectant and flickering backlights. Despite this, Optimus picked a couple of them up and added them to a pile he was collecting. The assigned paper was on pre-war literature and examining how the war changed it. All of the datapads Optimus had checked out for it were returned except for the poetry. He requested an extension for those."
With Quintessons attacking Autobot and Decepticon colonies alike, Optimus finds himself spending more time with Decepticons in a non-hostile environment than he was used to. This, of course, leads to casual conversation (what else do you say to the mech you just watched rip apart a MTO Quintesson soldier with his bare servos?) and Optimus finds himself getting the answer to an age old question he really wanted the answer to.
But he's not too sure how he feels about the answer.

Orion Pax has spent all of his life isolated in a tower with his overprotective and rather condescending father, who forbids him from leaving and strongly insists that the outside world is dangerous. That does not deter Orion's curiosity about the world, including the strange floating lights that he always sees on his birthday. His chance comes when a notorious thief by the alias of Megatron stumbles into the tower.
They embark on a journey, unaware of the feelings they will develop for each other, and learn things that will change everything.
