Summary
Finding out about his parents' murder at the hand of the Winter Soldier, Captain America's old war buddy, pushes Tony Stark into a very dark place and he turns to the former HYDRA assassin with a burning fury, part of him screaming for revenge.
Finding out that Steve knew and didn't tell him pushes him over the edge and he lashes out against the super soldier, but just as Steve is about to retaliate the Winter Soldier takes Tony by surprise, by knocking Steve out and surrendering.The Asset knows that to be free HYDRA must be crushed, and for that to happen his best chance is the resources of Tony Stark, when Captain America shows up in Bucharest the fragmented memories of who he once was tells him that the Captain will protect him and bring him to the Avengers so the Asset goes with him, but when the Captain is about to attack Iron Man with deadly intent he makes a choice and goes against the voices within.
The Asset neutralizes the Captain and surrenders to Iron Man, hoping that he will be able to convince the man to use HYDRA's own weapon to take them down.- Language:

“Yo, are you fucking insane?” asked Erik, and, between the gun in his hands and the way Thor was staring at him in confused disbelief, a hand over his shoulder, it was clear that he had used it on him once already. Ineffectively, cause Thor was a god - and Tony had just nearly died again, holy shit - but enough to stun him.
“Erik-” started Tony, but it came out a little croaky, and he put a hand on his neck at the pain. That fucking hurt.
Erik seemed to grow further angry, while Thor frowned at Tony. “What fucking business does your ass have, grabbing an unarmed civilian by the neck? Look at how he sounds after less than a second in your fucking paws, were you fucking trying to kill him?”

Summary
Loki, hiding on Midgard after picking up the Tesseract and escaping from Thor and Shield, sometimes alleviated his boredom by shapeshifting and gathering information on the Avengers. And, admittedly, annoying certain of them just for fun. While he’d gathered a lot of information, he hadn’t expected a meeting between Captain America and Shield’s Director Pierce to lead him to a man who was gorgeous, skilled with knives, and who moved with the grace of a Ljósalfaheimr battle master. Nor, having freed him, had he expected that the man would decide to stay, despite Loki encouraging him to make contact with the good Captain.
So, having gained a companion, it behooved Loki to secure their future. Starting from scratch no less. Worse, he had to do that without using his magic, which would alert Asgard as to his whereabouts... Which was how he happened to end up tracking down lost or stolen pets. Beneath him admittedly, but sometimes one did what one had to do.
