How can you get over something that you have to see and experience every day? Longing and wanting, but knowing you’ll never have it?
Worse still, Arthur's always touching him somehow. Whether that be shoving him, or poking him, manhandling him, or ruffling his hair.
In the evenings, when Arthur’s in his chambers and he’s pondering something, he rubs the ring on his index finger against his lips. It’s a subconscious gesture that drives Merlin wild.

Summary
Merlin opened the door carefully and slowly entered the room. As he tiptoed over to the table, he froze. The room was filled with soft gasps and groans and the sloshing of water from the other side of the room.
It took Merlin a moment to recognise what he was hearing.
Well… That explained why Arthur dismissed him during bathing. It was his private time.
Fair enough, Even though he was a Crown Prince, Arthur was still a flesh and blood man.
Merlin kept his eyes averted as he snuck over to the chair and carefully lifted his satchel from it.
Turning, Merlin went to leave when he tripped over another chair and went flying across the floor.
When he glanced up, he saw Arthur in his tub staring at him, his eyes wide, frozen mid-action with one hand in the tub and the other… wriggling.

Summary
Merlin is living the best life, learning how to raise dragons from his dragonlord father, Balinor, on their farm. This teenager has not a care in the world (magic is legal) until the local druids pay a visit. Merlin is not happy to discover he has a destiny featuring another person he’s never met. Once and future king his arse, not on his farm. Ignoring the prophecy with the mystery no named future king, Merlin tries to pretend everything is fine.
However, one giant, scaled, slightly bored troublemaker named, Kilgharrah, decides that this prophecy of destiny and kings is the perfect adventure to get his blood pumping. So the great dragon does what he does best, and proceeds to stir the proverbial pot.
Cue, kidnappings, rescues, attempted coups, and a fair amount of dragons all to keep destiny on track.
