    “Mandalorian kids?” Quinlan wore a deep frown on his face, knowing how troublesome that was for the Republic.

    “They tried to make them fight the Younglings. Some kind of Jedi vs Mandalorian thing. I want to bring them home.”

    “To Keldabe? You have lost your mind.”

    “The Republic would use them for leverage. It could escalate to war– things have been way too tense for way too long.” Obi-Wan argued.

    “Going to Mandalorian Space is suicide.”

    “I would rather risk my life than see children used as political pawns or worse, as leverage in war.”

    “They are the enemy, Obes. If they get their hands on you they would not be so gracious.”

    “There are no enemy children in war. Just children.”

    Quinlan knew there was no convincing Obi-Wan at this point. “Fine. But don’t come crying to me when things go wrong.”

    They both knew Quinlan would be the first to aid Obi-Wan should things go wrong.

    Dick knew certain cases weren't supposed to be tackled alone. Extraterrestrials kidnapping meta kids? That definitely required back-up. In hindsight this should have been handled with the assistance of the JL, but hindsight was always a bitch and as Dick sat wondering how he was going to get out of the thick metal cuffs digging into his wrists he could feel the ship rise. On one hand this was a shitty situation but maybe it could lead him to the center of this new crime ring. He was Nightwing, the Original Boy Wonder, he could get out of this, couldn't he? He just had to play along until they lead him to their leader and by that time the JL or his family will have sent a rescue team.

    Fox is in a terrible mood. Restlessness itches right underneath his skin, the kind of urge he has no hope of scratching himself. If someone comes in here looking to fight him, he already knows he will give in. It is stupid and dangerous and absolutely avoidable, but Fox is in pain every day of this wonderful life of his. He just wants to be responsible for some of that, for once. Wants to have a say in what happens to him.

    So it goes from:
    "And who do we have here?" the trooper in 212th colouring says. "A lone Corrie. Drinking on the job."

    "You and me, winner walks out of here unbothered."
