Goosebumps erupt across Trinity’s skin, tiny little pinpricks of want crawling across her arms. She tilts her head just enough to meet Garcia’s eyes, and finds her staring right back at her, teeth tucked into her bottom lip, pupils black. “Yeah?” she murmurs, voice low.
“Yeah, baby,” Garcia affirms. The fingers that had been stroking at Trinity’s ribcage suddenly curl up, scratching gently down the length of it; Trinity can’t help but shiver at the touch. “I’m not the only one in this bed with hands. You still want to?”

“No,” Trinity protests once again. Her voice is a low, relaxed rasp still filled with sleep.
“We have to get up.”
“Don’t want to,” She murmurs again. She’s fully wriggled on top of Yolanda now, her naked body covering Yolanda’s own. “It’s too early.”

Summary
Trinity doesn't see the puck hit Garcia's tape. She does see it hit the back of the net.
The barn is shitty, loud and cacophonous and full of people she couldn't give less of a shit about. But the ice is cold, and when Garcia crashes into her, pins her against the glass with a jubilant smile and a hand smacking down on the top of her helmet, she feels like she's standing on the surface of the sun.

The PTMC is part of a hockey rec league. Trinity doesn't expect to fall in love with the sport, but when Garcia smiles at her, she'd take a lot worse than a puck to the face to make sure it keeps happening.

Summary
It’s one of those things—words, phrases, insults, sometimes even compliments—that sticks with Trinity, even though it shouldn’t. Lodges itself somewhere in the gaps of her ribcage, so with each step she can feel it there under skin, flesh and digging through bone. It grooves into the recesses of her mind, it gets caught in her throat, she can taste those words just on the tip of her tongue and she really fucking hates it.
Much like everything else her stupid brain clings to (it’s a trauma response, she knows that, she’s a doctor, but calling her brain stupid is easier than really facing the problem) it sticks.
Trouble, trouble, trouble.
Or: Trinity Santos learns to let her guard down, just a little bit.

She said it like a finding. Something already true that she was only now reporting.
“I know,” Yolanda said, and found—kneeling on the carpet, eight-year-old on one side, ten-year-old on the other, her mother’s pernil going cold—that she had not actually needed to put it down, any of the times she’d put it down. She’d been carrying it the whole way. She’d just refused to check the weight. “Me too.”

As Azar sees the BIG DOG, the big dog notices Azar too. And it seems to shrink, and makes its heads and jaw touch the floor and stays very still. Azar rushes to the dog, pats it on the head.
“Don’t worry. I will help okay. Stay calm little one”, he says the last line in Farsi like he saw his mama say as she patched up when he was hurt.
The dog had the nicest fur coat and stayed absolutely still.

Summary
Trinity starts a rotation with Ortho, becoming the unwitting protégé of Dr. Corbin Grey, an attending surgeon known for his cold and harsh nature. He has zero tolerance for failure, and is infamous for terrifying med students and residents into quitting. So when he takes a liking to Trinity, taking her under his wing, confusion and dismay follow. All the while, she pines after Garcia, who seems to be pretending she doesn't exist.
As she and her new mentor learn more about each other, they find that they can fix each others problems, and lift each other out of their respective darkness.
In other words: Trinity recruits a deeply terrifying and trauma-riddled old man as her wingman, to great effect.

What Santos doesn't know: her hobbies, if she has siblings, her parents' names. Santos hasn't met any of Garcia's friends. It's possible that none of them know of her existence. When Santos tries to imagine Garcia's place, she can see Garcia's black Hokas on the doormat, but she can't fill in any of the picture frames on the walls.
