For Knives, sex is, overall, an entirely uninteresting concept. Much like food and water, it’s not something Plants like him need to survive. Not to mention how limited the options of who he’d even trust to touch him are– especially with Vash out of the picture for the time being. And now, Vash had, without consulting Nai, hired some sort of alpha scam artist—masquerading as a therapist, service companion, and heat companion all in one—who was currently sitting in Nai’s living room.
Or: Nai is an anxious, broody, near-shut in who doesn’t want anyone beyond Vash and a select few friends in his house, and never accepts help with his heats. Wolfwood’s just determined to help one extremely wound-up guy relax.

Here’s the thing: Vash Saverem is broke. Not just poor — oh, no. He’s out-on-the-street broke. He’s three eviction notices down and the last one was printed on pink paper. Fired from two jobs within a week flavor of broke. He hasn’t eaten since yesterday morning when he inhaled a granola bar and had to drink directly from the tap to keep from choking.
So, when he got said pink-papered eviction notice, Vash knew he couldn’t be picky about his employment anymore. When he initially went job searching, all his hope had spiraled down the drain with every page he sifted through. References, high school diploma, good standing, experience… Every single one listed something that Vash simply didn’t have. By the time he got to the fifteenth page, all the listings had been for such specific types of people that it was no wonder they weren’t getting snapped up immediately. Contractors and freelancers and people with connections that Vash could never even hope to have. All except for one:
