Dazai’s breath hitched, and his eyes widened in disbelief. “No, you can’t—”
Then he felt it—something like a subtle shift somewhere inside him. He couldn’t pinpoint where the sensation started or ended, but it was there. And just as quickly as it happened, it went away, as if it had already sealed itself in him, became a part of him.
“What did you just do to me?” he asked, the words barely making it past his throat, more accusation than question.
“Saved you. You’ll probably hate me for it, but that’s what it was.”
or, Vampire!Chuuya finds Dazai on the verge of death, and uses mind compulsion to make him unable to try to end his life ever again. After that, he disappears, leaving Dazai alone for two years of nothing but hatred and resentment toward the vampire who violated his will and trapped him in the pathetic existence people call life. Until, when Chuuya’s the one in need of help, their paths cross again.

As the title suggests, this is based off of the Bungou Mayoi cards; Thief Osamu Dazai, and Detective Chuuya Nakahara.
Dazai is a charismatic criminal, notorious for never being captured. One of his favourite hobbys is messing with a certain detective.. Detective Nakahara. The man's a genius, you can count on him for catching any criminal in the state. However, the only man he fails to capture is that trickster, name unknown. All Chuuya knows about is that he's annoyingly tall, he has maroon brown eyes which pierce straight through his white mask, and brown curly hair which frames his face. His attempts at being charming are pathetic, because there's no way Chuuya would fall for such a despicable man. Right?

“You asked me a question,” he finally said, voice quieter than usual.
Atsushi tilted his head, white hair falling onto his shoulders as he blinked. “A question…? What— what kind of question?”
Akutagawa squeezed his eyes shut and took a deep breath, visibly disturbed at what he was about to say. He looked like he hated everything about this.
“You asked me if I’d ever had my foot nailed to the floor.”

Grinning wolfishly, Varka replies. "I'm always prepared, Dr. Flins."
Flins doesn't say anything, but his sly smirk is all that spoke.

After a few minutes of silence, Flins opened his eyes again, fighting the remains of the fear toxin and his nausea back to sleep. “Varka.”
“Hmm?” came the reply, still laying there back to back.
Flins hesitated for a moment. “Will we ever stop lying to each other?”
“No, Little Fae.” A pause. “I don't think we will.”
OR: Varka was once a police captain and hero keeping the city of Nod-Krai safe from criminal rogues with his trusted partner Flins, the Lightkeeper. Things came to an end when Varka threw away his morals to pursue his convoluted version of justice, which in turn, caused Flins to leave.
Two years later, life throws Varka the vigilante into rescuing a certain little fae from Rerir and nursing him back to health. He deals with the aftermath... sort of.
