Summary
Death was not a new concept to Damian Wayne. Not when he died. Over and over and over. Not when the Lazarus Pit flowed beneath his skin. Death wasn't something Damian was worried about .Not when he couldn't die. But holding secrets from his family, who paint him as reckless and too abrasive, is bound to pile up till it explodes. And of course, it starts and ends with Damian dying. Oh, and Jon's there too. Damian blames the start of his unraveling as Jonathan's fault. But, to be fair, its really not as bad as it seems. For Damian at least.

If possible, Jason’s smirk grows sharper.
“Oh?” he mumbles, crossing his arms with a smirk. “Wanna bet on that?”
Like a true Wayne in everything but blood, Tim freezes and slowly turns to meet Jason’s challenge with a narrowed glare.
“Do I want to bet if you get stabbed when whatever you have planned to make Damian smile will, certainly, get you stabbed?” Tim asks, voice monotone.
Jason nods, chin held up high with pride as if he had already won. “Yah.”
Tim blinks. Once. Twice.
By the third blink, his smirk matches Jason’s perfectly.
“You’re on.”
(Or the one where Dick just wanted to prove his dumb brothers wrong about how their youngest does have a heart and a smile, come on, and it somehow turned into a bet on who gets to see the smile first without getting stabbed.)

The jar of honey is just in reach, his fingers brushing the sides of the porcelain pot when broad hands wrap around his waist and hoist him up, giving Damian those last few centimetres to snatch the honey of its shelf before he's being lifted off the counter and settled back onto the floor.
"Todd." Damian greets stiffly, turning around despite his red face and scowling at his older brother.
"Baby bat. Pretty sure you're not supposed to be standing on the counter."
"Tt." Damian scowls. "If things in this house were truly meant to be accessible they would not be located in inconvenient places."
"Or you could be less short."

Damian is as sweet as the jar of honey he can’t reach, and decides he has to take care of his older brother (and ends up being taken care of in return)

Bruce, as always, was an exception.

Bruce is dead set on having all pups in the nest and within his eyesight as soon as possible with little concern for where they are or what they are doing.

Story time was the time Damian most acted his age.
Jason wrapped an arm around him and pulled him into his chest. The little boy clicked his tongue, annoyed, but didn’t fight.
“Robin,” Jason said, a small smile on his face for just a moment, fond and reminiscent. Then it turned hard again. “Stupid, right?”
