About a week after that, All Might asked Izuku if he was aiming for the hero course at UA. The question was so sudden that Izuku nearly dropped a microwave on his toes.
The truth was, if All Might had asked him that a week ago, there would have only been one possible answer to that question. All Might had gone to UA, UA was the best, so Izuku was going to go there too, if he could. But things were a little different, now that he was going to receive All Might’s Quirk.
“No,” he said, decisively.
All Might looked caught off guard, which was a very rare expression on him. “No?” he echoed, like he couldn’t believe it.
A laugh bubbled out of Izuku’s throat. He honestly couldn’t believe it either. “No,” he repeated.

It was something like an open secret in Gotham, that even though all it’s heroes were open to help no matter the situation, each one of them had a special affinity to certain matters.
For example, children from all districts knew to yell for Nightwing if they found themselves lost and scared. Small business owners often painted little Oracle symbols on their doorsteps, to warn away possible thieves with the knowledge that Gotham’s cryptic hacker had their eye on them. Working girls would send a quick prayer to the Red Hood before seeing their seediest clients; and as such, knew who to call for if things took a turn for the worst.
And Red Robin… well. His was a very specific bunch.

Unfortunately, this also often coincides with being at a point in the attainment of that goal where it’s too damn late and you’re just gonna have to suck it up, buttercup, and get your shit together and do it anyway.
Tim is pretty sure this shit is absolutely not worth it, but it’s too late now and even if it wasn’t, Mama ain’t raise no fuckin’ quitter.

Tim’s quest to bring Bruce back from his Time-Travel-Super-Vacation goes horribly topsy-turvey when Ra's takes a more pro-active approach to keeping Tim prisoner, and he ends up in an alternate universe where he never existed, and everybody is disorientingly well-adjusted and weirdly obsessed with his “wellness”, whatever that means.
Tim hates mystical artifacts.

After a while, he lost count of how long he’d been here. He didn’t even know where here was. All he knew was her. It was always her.
He missed his parents. Realistically he knew he should hate them. After all, they are the reason he was put here in the first place. They are the reason he was stuck in this place with her.
“Honey, I’m home!!” She calls out, the sound of her swinging the door open, shutting it, then locking it with the jingle of her keys.
He recognized her by voice, having heard the voice for years upon years by this point. He’s sure it’s been years.
As she rounds the corner, he immediately recognizes her dark brown hair, it’s about shoulder length now, maybe a bit longer. Her eyes are a dark brown as well, but a lot darker, nearly black, when he was younger he felt like if he looked at them for to long, they would pull him in. He always felt unsafe when they gazed upon him. Maybe it was the crazed look in her eyes when she saw him, but not him. He learned a while ago that he isn’t Timothy Drake to her.
Or, Tim Drake is sold by his parents at age ten, and four and a half years later people start realizing he’s gone.

Summary
When he had seen Kudo that weekend, he could really understand Mouri's worries. Kudo looked nothing like how he usually does when the two see each other. Normally, there is a fire in his eyes. A curiosity to just look for something, anything. A curiosity the Heiji loves to feed, even if it is the most basic of stuff to do. Even if it is just working at each other's brains for different ideas and topics.
But now, all of that was stripped away. There was a dull look in his eyes, a darkness that spoke more than any words would. He looked down instead of up, and there was no expression on his face. It unsettled Heiji.
Heiji noticed how pale and tired he looked as well. He knew that Kudo didn't sleep well in general, but this seemed worse. Worse than almost every time he has seen Kudo, even in his worst moments.
It only drove the want to help his friend more and more. To at least add some light back into his eyes.
