“What the fuck do you want,” Ilya snarls, his jaw clenched so tight that the hinge is starting to get sore.
Alexei holds his hands out to the sides. “What, I can’t come visit my brother after five years apart?”
Ilya scoffs. “I find that hard to believe. Why the fuck are you here, Alexei?” The name feels like shards of glass in his mouth.
Alexei steps closer to him, his eyes wide. He looks almost… scared. Or remarkably sincere. Much more than Ilya can remember him being in the past. It’s deeply unsettling. “I need your help, Ilyusha.”
OR: Ilya's life is better than he could have ever imagined it. He should have known it was too good to be true, and yet somehow it still takes him by surprise when Alexei shows up in Ottawa.

Stolas held out a hand and pretended to type on his palm, waiting until Blitzø understood and handed over his phone. He typed on it for a few seconds, then handed the device back to Blitzø.

Stolas points to the middle of the bed, “Go ahead and get on all fours for me, sweetheart”. Blitz swallows and nods again, getting on his hands and knees in the middle of the bed, his head facing the head of the bed.
“Good! Now..”, Stolas takes some of Blitz’s favorite chocolates from the side table and puts them in his hand, them melting fast on the feathers of his talons. He puts his hand out underneath Blitz’s mouth.

Stolas dug in his bag, then handed Blitzø the blanket he had brought. "Would you like this, as well?"
Blitzø took the blanket wordlessly and tucked it along the side of the nest, nudging it into place with one foot. "Thanks."

Desperate for his relationship with Stolas to go back to the way it was, he gets the crazy idea to use this injury to fake amnesia.
Except during the ensuing conversation Stolas blurts out that he's Blitz's boyfriend.
Blitz could call him out on the lie, but then he'd have to reveal his amnesia story is bullshit... so he decides to work with it. What could possibly go wrong?
