In the shadows, Aether’s figure slowly turned to him, an overflow of meat soiling his hands. It was hard to see his expression in the dark, but Xiao knew it was him, his petite silhouette unmistakable.
With his eyes finally adjusted, Xiao’s breath hitched. He took a step back. And then another. And then another.
Something was wrong with Aether’s face.
Xiao was just another depressed university student, until he met Aether: a cheery, popular classmate with quite an unusual taste in food. As the year goes on, and his relationship with Aether gets stronger, life finally seems to be looking up for Xiao—that is, until, so many things get worse.

She relishes in the pitiful state that the Vigilant Yaksha has been reduced to, helpless under a mere mortal's whims.
For this night will go unspoken between them. They'll assume their roles as shadows looming behind Liyue's opulence. Xiao is as loyal to his duties as she is to hers. They're just two weapons waiting to be picked back up and used by their owners.

However, one slip up soon led to his capture and imprisonment. Following was constant torture to get him to spill information, which Xiao would never yield to.
That is, until a certain someone comes along and flips the whole meaning of torture around.
The infamous "General Barbatos" is not exactly what Xiao expects him to be.

A small collection of one-shots about L and Light. Takes place pre-yotsuba arc- y'know when they're handcuffed and there's minimal emotional turmoil. Each part isn't necessarily related, though they do follow the same plotline and you can consider them related if you wish. I really just started this to keep my writing in practice and hopefully improve.
My favorite dynamic is the insomniac and sleeping beauty, if you haven't already noticed.

Luigi has been tasked with personally delivering the invitation for Princess Peach’s ball to celebrate their newfound peace to King Bowser. During his time at the Koopa King’s castle when the chance to get to know each other better arises, a shift happens between them. Unintended openness, kindness, the telling of secrets, and more is revealed, and they realize that perhaps there is more to the other than meets the eye.
I don't know much about Mario. I didn’t grow up on the games or anything. Because of this, I am sure there will be many things that aren’t accurate in this fic, but I am writing this for fun so I hope others enjoy it too even if it is inaccurate.
