In 1933 Alastor manages to summon a demon with a rectangular, glowing head who keeps staring at him like he can't decide between tearing him apart and worshipping him at his feet.
Meanwhile, Vox just blew up himself and the entire universe and suddenly stands before a second chance. He simply has no idea what that second chance entails.
In other words: The demon Vox and human Alastor time travel roadtrip fic that spiralled and suddenly gained a plot

After being rescued from Vee Tower, Alastor locked himself away in his room at the hotel. And so began Lucifer’s new ritual, desperate for Alastor to know there was someone on the other side of that cold bedroom door. Every day he spoke through the wood, and every day he received no answer. But Lucifer could wait. He would spend days talking to an empty hallway. Weeks memorizing the touch of a door that never opened pressed against his back. Months watching shadows shaped like the two of them play along the walls, keeping each other company in the absence of Alastor.

Summary
Alastor reached out with one hand again, laying it palm-up on the table.
Lucifer stared. “What?”
“Dance with me,” Alastor murmured, the smile that curved his mouth as insouciant as anything Lucifer had ever seen. “That is, assuming you are even capable.”
Weak after Charlie’s birth, Lucifer has no choice but to flee Hell when Adam brings an army of Exterminators and Heavenly Princes to his doorstep. With Lilith dead, Hell in shambles, and Lucifer in no position to right it, he flees to the only place he can think of: Earth. The human world is much different than he remembers, however, and his plan to simply keep himself and Charlie secluded in the first human city he lands in hits a snag when the woman from next door takes an interest in them and the strange radio show that, for months, has been Lucifer’s only mode of lulling his daughter to sleep, bringing her mysterious son into Lucifer's false life and threatening to bring the whole facade crashing down.

Summary
The rivalry of Scorpion and Sub-Zero was a tale as old as time. To speak about the mortal kombat tournament itself was cause enough to bring up their relationship. There had never been another hatred so deep. Not even Raiden and Shao Kahn. Their hatred is deep and strong and has outlasted any battle they have fought and won together.
But beneath the surface of their hatred, though they may never admit it, there was a level of care for each other. Too many failed attempts at murdering each other and too many successful attempts at saving the realms side by side left a small bit of room in their rivalry for an… acquaintanceship.
Though both of them would sooner die than ever admit that perhaps they didn’t hate each other as much as they once did.
It wasn’t until the two rivaling ninjas were called together once again that their relationship was called to question.

He wonders if that’s because his senses are really that broken at the moment or if what she’s about to say is really that hard for her.
“My name’s Aubrey,” she says, and her words are too soft, too cautious. Her fingers tighten around the manila folder in her hands, the quiet creak of the paper screaming in his head, and she gives Peter a smile that's barely there. “I'm your social worker.”

the young avengers can only watch and sigh as they manage to deal with threats more effectively than two entire teams of properly-funded, fully adult avengers. maybe the world really, really needs the young avengers. like, desperately. please, the avengers(squared) are going to kill eachother before doing literally anything of help.
