    Percy had agreed to spend the summer in Atlantis. His mother had been rather persuasive about it, and the growing tensions between him and Annabeth had convinced him that getting away from dry land and taking a step back would do him a world of good.

    He had simply forgotten that he had never spent more than two days in a row in Atlantis and that, as a result, he knew nothing about its customs and traditions.

    Not to mention that his father would probably see this as an opportunity to convince him to stay, this time for good.

    A few warnings before you read, I'm mainly basing this on the timeline of the books, not the series.     (Earlier chapters and some current plot points might be rewritten at some point when I have the motivation. I feel like I've lost the plot a little bit. Once I reorganize my notes and get a more clear idea of what I'm doing I'll continue this. I'm not sure when the motivation will come back, it could be tomorrow or it could be next month, but I absolutely have intentions to complete this. Also, a lot of my scenes are almost exactly like some other scenes that happen in Jambound? It was not at all my intention to copy it. I am a big fan of the work, though. I'm not sure if it happened subconsciously or just by coincidence, but it definitely needs fixed. I was reading Jambound and realized that at some points some moments are almost exactly the same.)

But when you're a demigod, reaching seventeen is an accomplishment in itself, you're lucky you're still alive! And as for 'normal,' well, it's as mythical as your adventures are to mortals. Between meddling parents, (who can't deal with their kids growing up and forbid them from dating), nosy friends (mortals can be surprisingly perceptive) and the occasional monster attack, finding a moment alone is harder than fighting off giants. As they yearn for the simple mortal lives, Percy and Annabeth need to discover who they are outside of Camp. Will they find a way to heal together, stand up to their parents and embrace the little joys that life offers? Perhaps nothing bad will happen? Perhaps Annabeth will stop fearing the darkness inside Percy? Perhaps he'll stop waking up at night, thinking she is gone...
