Summary
Frank is Robby and Jack's son that they adopted when he was four. Everything changes and nothing at all. He still does drugs and everyone shuts him out but he rejoins the army as a medic. His parents have custody of his kids because Abby is dead and they have refused to give them back basically. Also Trinity is his sister, she's basically if Baby Jane Doe happened during Robby's residency.
“So, Dr. Langdon I hear you are leaving the Pitt and I was just wondering if there was anything I could do to either help or convince you to stay?”
He sees Robby's head snap up and turn to look at him. If he weren’t a veteran he wouldn’t have been able to hear Abbot's inhale or the way he shifts into a more attention pose instead of an at ease one. He lowers his eyes to the ground, unable to look at anyone, including Gloria. This was going to be emotionally taxing enough without having to worry about seeing his parents' disappointment.
“Yes ma’am, I am leaving and no, there isn’t much more I need.” He is trying to keep his voice flat, the last thing he needs is to sound choked up in Gloria’s office.

"So, uh, that bulletin board."
Shen bites his bottom lip to keep from laughing at the other man's realization. "Yeah, its pretty great, huh?" He says not looking away from the computer.
"Yeah, definitely super cool. I was wondering if it was couples and friends or just couples?" Langdon asks leaning closer to Shen.
"Just couples. It's for Valentine's Day!" John refuses to look at the man because he knows he'll crack the second he sees those confused blue eyes.
"Ok yeah, that's what I thought. So uh, why are we on the board, John?"
This time Shen has to look at him, just so he could deliver the next line. "Because we're married Frank."
Or John Shen lives for gaslighting Gloria, and this time he got Frank Langdon in on it

Summary
Robby shuffles closer until their knees touch, and places a gentle hand on Frank’s thigh. Frank opens his mouth to speak but is almost immediately cut off. “I know you’re probably overthinking this, so just let me talk for a bit first, okay?” Robby rumbled.
"I want to apologise first," Robby said, his thumb tracing slow circles on Frank's thigh through the thin fabric of his sweatpants. "When you went into rehab six months ago, I told myself I'd visit. I packed a bag twice. Drove halfway there once. And then I turned around."
Frank's brow furrowed. "You what?"

Summary
He blinked, like surfacing too fast from deep water.
For a second, nothing made sense—the angle of his arm, the way his hand was still curled around the scalpel, the faint metallic smell in the air. Then his eyes focused, and the jagged wound across his forearm came into sharp relief.
Frank stared at it, his expression flattening as the dissociation peeled back. The cut was deeper than usual. “Damn it,” he muttered under his breath, pressing gauze against his forearm. The fabric soaked through faster than he liked. That was… not ideal.
Frank Langdon, now divorced and crashing at Jack Abbot's apartment, has turned to self harm in order to cope. When he cuts too deep, Abbot and Robby find out about his new problem against his will.

He couldn’t point to the exact moment when everything started to fall apart.
Maybe it was love that blinded him or the simple fact that she was his wife - the mother of his children. So when she hit him for the first time, it caught him completely off guard. She had never been a violent person. Not in the begginig at least.

Summary
Frank grips the sides of the sink and forces himself to look in the mirror. The damage is minimal- especially when compared to what his scrub top is hiding. There’s a long cut on his brow from where the broken bottle had rebounded off the wall and caught him in the face. And a swollen purple bruise under his jaw. On their own the injuries would’ve been easy to explain; he could think of a hundred stories off the top of his head to explain them. But together, paired with the fact that he’s sure to be a little slow today, it’s harder. He’s planning on saying he fell off his bike and systematically avoid any other questions

“People aren’t either wicked or noble. They’re like chef’s salads, with good things and bad things chopped and mixed together.”
Frank learns early how little it takes to shift the course of things, how easily a life can bend around pain, around silence, around the wrong kind of survival.
Months later, Dr. Robby meets a boy he almost remembers, and can’t quite place why he doesn’t sit right.

“I’m looking forward to learning a lot from you, Doctor Abbot.” Langdon chirps from where he’s standing. Robby huffs out an amused sound before he covers it with a cough as Jack shoots him a glare.
“Right.” He says coolly and feels the day shift doctors, Ellis and John join their little group, ready for handover. “Know how handover works?”
Langdon nods.
“Cool, then you can follow along.” Jack isn’t interested in teaching, even if they are a teaching hospital. Someone else can do the teaching. All Jack can do is scare off the kid enough that he follows someone else.

“But- it is a big deal, that was-”
“It’s fine, really.” Langdon held his arms tighter, knuckled white where he gripped his sleeves.
Javadi frowned, “Are you sure?”
“I am.” Langdon looked around again, sighing and rubbing his brow, “Look, I appreciate the concern, but I really- I can’t risk causing anymore problems right now.”(PLEASE carefully read tags!!!)
