Summary
The sneakiest and perhaps most human trick that Crowley’s brain liked to pull was this: Overthinking Everything. Even the most harmless of comments would kick him into overdrive, picking at whatever was said like a scab until its original meaning was mangled beyond recognition.
All this to say, when an afternoon came along shortly after the world didn’t end for a second time, and Aziraphale, apropos of nothing whatsoever, idly remarked, “You know, we never did go for that picnic,” Crowley’s brain did what it did best.
[Post-canon, Aziraphale keeps hinting at the picnic they never went on. Crowley responds in a very Cool, Normal way.]

“A couple,” says Aziraphale. “We’re a couple. You know that, I know that, you said your whole ‘the group of the two of us’ bit. And even God…” He trails off uncomfortably. No use getting into all of that now, months after the whole Second-Not-Coming nonsense. He asks, “But are we a… ‘Valentine’s Day’ sort of couple?”
“I don’t even know what that means,” Crowley protests desperately.

It’s their first Valentine's Day as that sort of couple, and Aziraphale and Crowley are determined to do as humans do. Five times London finds a way to ruin their perfect night, and the one time a perfect night finds them.

All is as well and good as possible until something happens to Aziraphale, and a grieving Crowley must unknowingly come to his rescue.
Includes musings on existence, gentle, warm flashbacks, demonic heists of a homosexual nature, God in slippers, asshole Gabriel, tearful reunions, the inherent tenderness of loving someone ever so much, and, through all the sorrow, a very happy ending.

Princes Aziraphale of Arendelle and Crowley of the Southern Isles have been arranged to be married practically since the day they were born. This suits both boys perfectly well. Until one day with no warning or explanation as far as Crowley can tell, the arranged marriage and diplomatic ties are dissolved, and the royal family of Arendelle all but completely shuts themselves off from the world. Twelve years later the castle gates are finally opening up again for the soon-to-be King Aziraphale's coronation. Despite his parents' objections, Crowley is determined to go and figure just what happened to his best friend.

He can picture it more clearly than ever: perfect days built on perfect days, a contentment deep in his bones, his hunger both stoked and sated with every taste of Stede on his tongue. In the evenings they'll watch local theatre to get better at Mandarin, which they'll use to haggle with the locals for furniture and other shiny things until their place looks exactly as Stede pictures it. Their bed will be by the window, draped in fabrics of purple and red and gold that glow like jewels in the candlelight.
Later they'll fall into it together, tipsy and pleasantly exhausted, and Stede will press his face into the back of Ed's neck and hold him there, and he'll know what it feels like to be home. In the low light Stede will kiss him sunstruck, take him apart limb by limb like an old marionette, whisper his name like it's the only word he knows. It's so close he can feel it grazing his fingertips, just waiting for him to close his hand around it and hold on.
