Whatever Jiang-Shushu was going to say Madam Yu beat him to it. Her smile grew even more pleased.
“Don't be stupid, boy. It's an honor to serve the sect in a marriage contract. Especially marrying into the Lan Sect.”
Objectively she wasn't wrong about that. His eyes stung. It was different for him though. Four years ago he stayed in the Cloud Recesses for the guest lectures and was thrown out by Lan Qiren in the end. How would he survive living there?
Or: Wei Wuxian marries into the Lan Sect expecting to be miserable but slowly learns to make it and the people of the Lan Sect his home. And maybe he'll even get to keep it for once.

And lastly, his quirk has changed Eraserhead into a frickin’ black jaguar. The same jaguar that is pinning him to the ground and reminding Nashi that jaguars often kill their prey by piercing their skulls thanks to their strong bite muscles. Even this wouldn't be so bad (it really is) if Nashi hadn't also been startled into changing Freaking Dekiru into the irate honey badger that's charging right toward him! He should have stayed in bed.
