“Am I?” he mused, his voice lilting, coaxing—so effortlessly familiar. “You wound me, Miss Bodyguard. Here I was, trying to paint a masterpiece, thinking of you after an agonizing week apart, only to check my notifications and find you, in the dead of night no less, liking another man’s post. Truly, a betrayal of the highest order.”
“Thomas is your agent.”
“Doesn’t change the facts.”
You sighed again, but this time, it was laced with amusement. “You know what? I’m coming over.”
There was a beat of silence. Then, sharper now— “What?”
(Or... at 3:30 AM, Rafayel calls about you liking Thomas’ post. You know him far too well to believe that’s all it is. So you go to him, finding him amidst half-finished paintings and restless emotions, teetering between wanting space and needing you too much.)

Rafayel’s voice is slightly raspy when he speaks, his low, teasing tone dragging a full-body shudder out of you. Your knees feel weak, your breath shaky. “My princess, do you have any idea what you do to me?”
He gently pushes you down onto your bed, propping you onto a tasseled pillow. Rafayel’s voice drops to a low murmur as he positions his body over yours, straddling your hips with his muscled thighs, and leans in until his lips are right next to your ear. "Do you know the power you have over me?" He nuzzles his face into the crook of your neck, his voice now a barely perceptible whisper. “My princess, my body is yours, so use me however you wish… I am yours.”
One drunken encounter turns into another, but in a far different way. You’ve been fantasizing about Rafayel for a long time, and tonight, in the intimacy of your chambers, he finally makes you his.

“You want me to beg?” The way he says it has you clenching around nothing. You hope this isn’t about to backfire in your face because you’re not sure you could live if he were to stop now.
You feign haughtiness as you stare down at him on his knees. “Beg,” you command.
You think he’s not going to do it— that he’s about to call your bluff. You watch as one corner of his mouth lifts into a smile and he throws his head back to laugh breathily. He presses a single kiss to the exposed skin of your thigh and you wait in anticipation. The silence is almost overwhelming. You can hear your heartbeat thudding in your ears and the air between the two of you is heated and still.
And then Rafayel groans, resting his warm face against your leg. “Please,” he whispers.

He’d forgotten, somehow, about the grand Ravengard estate, and the expectations of there being a certain level of opulence in the home of the Grand Duke.

The implication struck him and he only barely managed to keep himself from falling on her, ready to devour her whole.
“You… You don’t know what you’re offering.” Each word was a struggle to get out and his hand became a claw where it was pressed against his chest.
“I know what I’m offering,” she insisted.
“No, you don’t.” He grimaced as another wave hit him, his very bones aching.
“I could devour you,” he warned, pleaded. If she reconsidered, took back her offering, took the choice from him, he wouldn’t have to worry. He couldn’t outright refuse, not with her there, so close, that crackling magic of hers and the heat of her body a waved carrot in front of a hungry maw. The words wouldn’t come. He was only so strong.
She met his gaze, steady, direct. “So devour me.”

Summary
Before the events of squirming tadpoles connected a group of unlikely strangers into a begrudging partnership to save the world, Astarion roamed the streets of Baldur's Gate as a vampire slave to the Szarr family. His master, Cazador, forced him to seduce and lure thousands of victims to his doorstep, and if that wasn’t slight enough, he saw Astarion as his personal toy of torment and torture.
One hundred and fifty years later, anything that remained of the man before had been snuffed out by the heel of Cazador’s boot. That is until one night, when Astarion, yet again on the hunt for his master, comes across a possible target unlike any he’s met before. A charismatic and handsome drow who is equal parts word-smith, warrior, and wizard. This man’s otherworldly nature seems to see right through Astarion’s elaborately crafted persona, and more than that, he can break the mental hold Cazador has on him and shroud his presence from the vampire lord. The stranger, for whatever reason, is charmed by Astarion and offers him a deal: His protection from Cazador’s control for Astarion’s companionship.

Summary
I went to Baldur's Gate and all I got was a hyperfixation with this fucking vampire.
BG3 fics, mostly centered around my durge. Characters who will be prominent include:
Kelyn: drow, bard, Dark Urge. Desperately trying to fight his nature, mostly coping with music. Soft and sweet and gentle and loves murder almost as much as he loves Astarion.
Alythara: drow, cleric, Tav. Kelyn's older sister, highly protective of him. (Kissing Shadowheart and Halsin, which may or may not come up.)
Yurissa: tiefling, warlock, absolute baby. Kelyn's teenage adopted daughter who thought he was dead until he got back to BG in Act 3, and then forcibly inserted herself into the party.- Words:

For a split second, their entities seemed to mingle. Tav could see inside the drider. His mind was something he had never seen before. It was as if he was looking into a glass palace. A palace with thousands of mirrors reflecting each other back. An echo ran through the surroundings, a screech. But there were other things. Hidden things. Things that eluded Tav when he tried to reach for them.
He realized that the drider's mind was fractured. Broken into so many pieces it was impossible to know if they had ever fit together.-----
As they watch a convoy of Absolutists, Tav is injured and left behind. He has no choice but to pose as a devout True Soul in order to survive.
As soon as his gaze settles on Kar'niss for the first time, Tav is fascinated by the drider. He won't admit it to himself, but the curiosity he feels might just contain at least a spark of attraction.
He teams up with the drider to make the journey to Moonrise Towers.

Halsin swallows, rewords his question. “How old were you when you were turned?”
Astarion goes quiet. Extremely, cacophonously quiet.
“Thirty-nine,” he finally says, a bolt straight into Halsin’s heart.
