They sat together eventually — on moss, on fallen logs — Ivy talking about plant memory, the nymphs humming softly, Estelle weaving a little flower crown that she placed carefully on Damian’s head.He froze.
Did not remove it.
Percy watched, heart light for the first time in days, and thought, Yeah. Close enough to normal.
Percy didn’t realize how tense he’d been until his shoulders finally dropped.
The wild place did that to him. Reset things. Smoothed the sharp edges off thoughts he hadn’t even known were cutting him.
Estelle was sprawled on her stomach now, carefully lining up pinecones as if they were dolls in some very serious meeting. Tyson lay nearby, letting a vine slowly wrap around his wrist like it was curious about him. The nymphs had retreated just enough to give them space, their presence still there, humming under everything like background music.

Damian grumbles, but easily tucks his head into the spot between Connor's shoulder and head."Thank you, Stoll," he stiffly says.

Bianca caught the dagger out of reflex and then screamed when she grasped the handle firmly. The Chaos energy that had been imbued in her was now being expelled from her body at an alarming rate. For whatever reason, she couldn't let go of it, though Chaos tried to command her to do so. Keep calm my darling, Her father's voice entered her troubled mind then. You'll be fine in a moment.Your father speaks true, my brave Hunter, Lady Artemis spoke next. Bianca had tears streaming down her face, both from the pain of having the chaos energy be expelled, but also because she had heard her father speak to her. It felt so good to hear his voice. She gasped when she could hear the furious voice of Chaos scream in her mind before it left her entirely along with its power. She sobbed with relief, and a bit of fear when she realized that she couldn't move.
“I'm sorry my dear, but if you move now you'll collapse and drop that dagger,” Hades appeared before her, a sad expression on his face and a hand raised in her direction. He was the one that was holding her in place, she realized. “And the second you do, Chaos will gain control of you again. This is the only way to stop that from happening.”
“But I can't stay on the mortal plane papa, you know this,” Bianca whimpered when it finally hit her that she was free of Chaos' influence but she would have to leave her family again. “not in this form at least.” She frowned and glanced at the dagger in her grip. “Stygian Iron blade, but I can sense silver threaded within it. Both you and Lady Artemis made this dagger, and blessed it as well.” She stated matter-of-factly.

Morgan shook his head and crossed his arms. “She was too young to fully understand what was happening. Did you expect her to fight back?”
Annabeth huffed. “Yes! She had a clear advantage. One hard hit to his knees and he would have dropped his arm and she could have run away.” She was getting worked up, the tapping getting faster and faster. Annabeth pulled harshly on her necklace, rubbing her calloused fingers over the wooden beads in a desperate attempt to soothe herself.

‘’Ravi!’’ Buck yells running on the other side of the car where Ravi is hyperventilating, hands on his knees trying to catch some breath. ‘’W-what happened?’’
Ravi just manages to point to the window before he pukes his guts out. Buck glances back and he can feel his heart beat faster as he reaches for the radio.

And as they are passing through the streets of Los Angeles, they simply can’t believe what is happening outside. It was almost the exact same thing when people came rushing in to help lift the fire engine from Buck’s crushed leg. Unbelievable and thrilling.The kind of visions that make you believe in goodness of humanity again.
