Summary
Magnus and Alec's love story is one for the ages. In the different stages of their relationship, they questioned their choices, and beat themselves up for their mistakes. Even before they met, they had longed for that magical moment when things would just fall into place, even when they felt they didn't deserve to live a life filled with love.
But once they found each other, all the love songs in the world seemed to be about their private moments. From that powerful crush at first sight, to confessing their love on a drunken night out. From those dinners which got cold because they decided to get up and dance, to their personal heavens and blind faith. From that one time they jumped into a pool, to the green streelights that guided their way back home. From the uncertainty of which was the smile that made them fall in love, to the serenity of golden daylight after the darkest night.
The stories in this series are 18 snapshots of Alec and Magnus' love and unending happiness throughout the years. They can be read in any order, and they're independent from one another.

The man's silhouette stood out sharply against the window opening. Tall, broad shoulders, strong features, he aroused fear and respect even from the roof from which attentive eyes were watching him. In the streetlight the details of his face were not sharp, but he looked quite young, and something in his attitude betrayed military training.
He moved silently to another window, peering inside for a few moments before moving on to the next. He was clearly looking for something ... or someone. Once he finished the ground floor and returned to the starting point, he snorted in annoyance. He took a few steps back and, rubbing his feet on the asphalt as if he were wearing skates, he started running, heading straight against the wall. Summary
When Magnus gets magic from Lorenzo he is delighted and starts to feel whole again. Magnus uses it constantly. But using the magic so much is taking a toll on his health. When Magnus collapses because he uses magic too much, Catarina realizes the magic is unstable and will kill Magnus if he continues to use it too much and that Magnus has to give it back to Lorenzo to save his life. When Alec tells Magnus this, they get into a big fight. And they keep fighting as Magnus is too addicted to the magic. Magnus uses magic to make Alec forget they were fighting.
This is based on a Willow and Tara storyline from Buffy the Vampire Slayer but with a happy ending.
