Preston was tired. Tired of spending all hours of the day in that God-forsaken hospital. Tired of breathing in the same air that so many others have as well. Tired of staring at the same chewed up, chalky walls. The uneasy feeling never got lighter, considering the amount of time he's spent here. Just by being in this building physically drains him, deflating him like a balloon. He should've been happy when Nicky finally came home after a long, excruciating few days there, but he knew it wouldn't be long until he would be back there.
