Or, Madara wakes up and leaves. Hashirama follows.
Hashirama approaches, and Tobirama still faces the kettle, refusing to turn and look at him. Who still doesn’t look at him once as Hashirama patiently explains his plan. I’ve decided to leave, he tells him. This way, I can find Madara and bring him back to the village, he says earnestly.
Tobirama shakes his head and turns around slowly, his eyes unreadable. Say you find him, he says. Say you find him and he says he doesn’t want to come back. What will you do then?
Hashirama stares at Tobirama. I will find Madara and bring him back to the village, he repeats.
Tobirama’s eyes narrow, and he gives an agitated shake of his head. “Disgraceful,” he mutters. “War is coming, and you choose to leave.”

Every Friday, Sonic gets kidnapped by his friends while he’s clubbing, to go do a Sonic Trivia where his friends all guess and aggressively argue about what his favourite things are and facts about himself and every Friday Shadow keeps surprising Sonic on how much he’s noticed about the blue hedgehog. Sonic decides not think about it too much and just party till he’s tipsy.
That’s until he blacks out and wakes up to Big’s corpse.
A murder never goes well. Not with the media and certainly not with the public. Is there any other choice but to hide it and wait?
Keeping this secret with his friends and with the defeat of Eggman expected and nearing, the last thing he needs is an affair scandal with his public enemy number 1 rival. Plus there’s not even anything between them.
All Sonic needs to do is to gaslight the media, gatekeep The Secret, and girlboss his way through shit (Eggman’s, his friends’, his own,) What’s hard?

That's how quick and absurd his progression through the ranks was. He's left many monsters in the dust (to no one's surprise), so of course he and his brother ended up leaving their own universe in the dust as well.

He's becoming more and more fond of him but Shadow can't shake the feeling that there's much more to this new Sonic than he leads on.
