"I... Astarion..." Ren sits up a bit, reaching out one hand to gently cup the side of Astarion's face. The vampire goes still, lips parting but no words coming out. "That was wonderful, you were wonderful," Ren declares, thumb brushing affectionately across Astarion's cheekbone. Then his lover is pulling him close, their warm mouth trailing up his jaw to his lips.
And then it hits him - that awful, cruel little thought that he's been hoping to avoid: You don't deserve any of this.

“I want coffers overflowing with gold, so that I can spoil you rotten.” Astrion’s fingers inched beneath the lacy hem of her nightgown, smiling when her breath caught as he began to push it up. “I want to serve you wine in silver goblets every night, and tea in the rarest porcelain every morning. I want to treat you so sweetly your teeth fall out. Make you so disgustingly happy, it would never cross your mind to question what you are to me again.”
Laosie scoffed, but the tremor in her voice betrayed her nerves, the budding arousal gnawing at her gut. “What, precisely, am I to you? A thing to be adorned?”
Astarion chuckled. “I suppose material possessions aren’t everything, if you have lesser ambitions than I. But, no. I simply want for you what I want for myself.” His fingers hooked in the waistband of her undergarments, and Laosie was helpless to do anything but let him tug them down her legs and toss them behind him, his eyes gleaming mischievously beneath pale lashes. “I want us to have the world, my love.”

In truth, Hordak could care less about Etheria. All he cares about is Entrapta. He’s certain he’s not doing enough to support her, and lately, he seems to be upsetting her. Hopefully he won’t mess things up during their next outing – some yearly astrophysical event at the ice Princess’s castle.
