    ”It was Ripley…”

    It had been a message. To him. Vox Machina had listened and united with him: then they will hunt her down. But Raishan pushed back. No, she told them. She insisted that they would be playing right into Ripley's hands, and that they must stay the course and finish the Cinder King now, once and for all.

    "We cannot fight a giant with an adder in our boot," Percy told her.

    They had reached an impasse. And their alliance was dissolved. Vox Machina would seek out Ripley at first light.

    But there was something that none of them had counted on: the adder had never left.

    Percival never expected to survive when he jumped into the river to escape the Briarwoods. But somehow, survive he did. Even being washed out to sea, he survived. He survived to be pulled from the water by... three sisters. They took him home to their remote island, nursed him back to health and listened to his story, and they made him a promise: they would protect him from the Briarwoods. ALWAYS. But their ability to do so was limited to the island itself. And... Percy was okay with that. And so... he never, ever left.

    Years later, a group arrives at this island, seeking to destroy a coven of Sea Hags. They are Vox Machina: Grog, Scanlan, Pike, Keyleth, Vax'ildan, Vex'ahlia, and Cassandra. But while scouting the island in advance of the main party, Vax'ildan discovers that there is another resident on this island... a strikingly gorgeous young man... Vax takes it upon himself to ensure that this unknown Wildcard is kept unaware of the assault on the Hags, and stays out of the fight... by whatever means necessary...

    He does NOT expect to come to find that he has found, and deflowered, Cassandra's brother... the long-presumed-dead Percival de Rolo.
