Caitlyn sighed, rolling her eyes at the valve, and made to pull her hand out of the drain, but, as with everything that day, it didn't go as planned. Her hand was stuck. She jerked her arm again, but the rusted, uneven edges of the rotten pipe dug into the skin of her wrist, and she stopped struggling.
She breathed in and out to calm her nerves and tried to remove it again- slowly. It didn't falter. She tried to rotate it - but only yelped in pain when the sharp, broken edges cut into her hand.
The dread loomed over her like a sword of Damocles. Her hand was stuck in the drain, leaving her lying on the floor, her bare ass up, half her body hidden in the cabinet under the sink. It felt like a badly written premise for some shitty, cheap pornographic movie. But it was either die in there of shame or starvation, or make a call.
