Waking up in a fictional world, in the body of the 16 year old protagonist was not what I wanted to accomplish when I glanced for the final time into the fading sunlight. I didn’t understand it, and as I caught sight of a mirror, I did not recognize the face that stared back at me. I felt foreign in the body I was in. With that last thought the overwhelming recognition of wrongness evaporated as I, for lack of a better term, settled into my new body as my mind freaked out, also knowing I was here to stay and that this Bella, their Bella, was never coming back. I had her memories, but they were dry, factual, observational, and without any emotion. Without any soul. Because your soul took over her body, I think to myself, fighting down the strange shame I’d been battling. I didn’t ask for this, I didn’t plan for it, and I certainly didn’t want it. I was determined to do better with the strange second chances I’d been given. Why send me to this world if I wasn’t meant to do something with the story? I had a feeling that I wasn’t supposed to just pick up Bella Swan's life and live like a normal 16-year-old girl, avoiding every other plot point that made the story unique

I, like many teen girls growing up in the 2000s, enjoyed Twilight growing up. It was a cheesy - and sometimes problematic - series, but it will always hold a special place in my heart. Of course, I wasn't expecting to wake up in Bella's body mid-story. If this was a dream, it was the most elaborate, detailed, and long-lasting dream I've ever had...
OR... A girl gets trapped in Bella's body mid-Twilight and has to figure out what to do. Will she try to convince people that she's Bella, or tell them the truth?

Inspired partly by the movie Lost in Austin (where a Pride and Prejudice fan accidentally switches places with Elizabeth Bennet), and partly inspired by the 2020 Twilight resurgence and release of Midnight Sun that reignited my love-hate relationship with these books and movies.

Summary
Following New Moon, Edward and Bella are reunited but remain plagued by the enemies that lie hidden in the shadows. My intention is to rewrite Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, combining it into one novel which comprises the plot events of both books. In doing so, I will change story elements that I find don't fit the tone of the series or that I think don't further the plot in a fruitful direction, ultimately creating the satisfying, fulfilling ending to the amazing and incredible series that I always wished we'd had. This is merely a writing exercise and I assert the rights of Stephenie Meyer as the owner of The Twilight Saga and these characters. Full disclosure, the first half will remain fundamentality true to Eclipse except with less Jacob antics, but the second Breaking Dawn half will go A LOT crazier so stick around for that (if you want to, I'm not the boss of you)

It’s revenge, she decides. For lying in wait with her mom at the hospital yesterday. For backing her into a corner until she had no choice but to agree to this. He’ll live if he gets a bit of egg on him.
Almost as if sensing her thoughts, he frowns. It looks out of place on him, carving faint lines into his otherwise perfect face that don’t quite belong there. In fact, it makes him look a little less handsome. Beth would love it if he frowned more. She’d feel a lot less intimidated by him. Or maybe that has more to do with the fact that he’s going to marry her cousin and play a hand in Renaissance's traumatic birth.

Book 2 of the Tenebrity series. Forks was supposed to be a pit stop on the way to the rest of Bella's life, but that all changed when she met Edward Cullen. That day, Bella's life got a lot more complicated, and (if you ask her) a lot more beautiful. But how far is she willing to go for the vampire of her dreams? True love is hard to find... and easy to lose.
Just about every conversation I have about Twilight ends up with everyone agreeing that some parts of it were really great and some parts of it... were not. A few years ago I decided to see if I could take the good parts and surround them with more good parts. According to the reviews, I think I've succeeded.
- "So far, this is was Twilight could have been. My older self is happy with this, and my younger self wished they had this instead of the original (not that they didn't enjoy it with a passion lol)."
- "The characters are so much more likable, the plot makes good sense. It really feels like a teenage romance. I really love this. You've warmed the cockles of this old fan's heart."
- "This is the story that I wanted to read when I picked up 'Twilight' as a high school student."
