Summary
It’s his third night after his resurrection. Somehow Wei Wuxian immediately ended up as Hanguang-jun’s hostage in the Cloud Recesses from the very first day. Has Wei Wuxian really tried everything to throw the stoic Hanguang-jun off his trail? How far is he willing to go? But whatever he ends up doing, it’s all to get away, so, none of it even really counts, right? Why not go all the way, then? He wants to escape badly enough, doesn’t he?
Meanwhile, Lan Zhan has resolved to never let Wei Ying go again, this time whether he wants that or not. He’s internally compromised on this unreasonable decision by allowing Wei Ying to act however he pleases, and to deny him nothing this time around. But as with anything to do with Wei Ying and restraining himself, the practice is much harder than the theory.

A look at Lan Wangji and Sizhui’s relationship through the eyes of an outer disciple of Gusu Lan Sect.
But instead of offering compliments, Hanguang-jun remained grim. In fact, he looked a little displeased.
"Not good enough. As you will see in practice." He said coldly. "Again!"
This time, Hanguang-jun joined in, pressing in on the attack. Sizhui blocked and parried, finding opportune openings to throw in figures from the sequence. But facing the relentless onslaught, Sizhui did not have quite the right balance in one of the steps, and the next moment his sword was knocked out of his grip and landed with a clang a few meters away.
"Pick it up. Again!"

Whatever Jiang-Shushu was going to say Madam Yu beat him to it. Her smile grew even more pleased.
“Don't be stupid, boy. It's an honor to serve the sect in a marriage contract. Especially marrying into the Lan Sect.”
Objectively she wasn't wrong about that. His eyes stung. It was different for him though. Four years ago he stayed in the Cloud Recesses for the guest lectures and was thrown out by Lan Qiren in the end. How would he survive living there?
Or: Wei Wuxian marries into the Lan Sect expecting to be miserable but slowly learns to make it and the people of the Lan Sect his home. And maybe he'll even get to keep it for once.
