It makes sense that Ilya’s mind would go there first. Shane said he was outside. Based on past behavior, the hotel balcony is probably the only place Ilya would expect him to be. He feels a little giddy that he gets to shock him for once.
“I’m at a club, actually.” He has to bite back a self-satisfied smile as he speaks, “With the team. Safe.”
It's quiet for a few moments before Ilya deadpans,
“Very funny joke.”

Ilya crouched down until he was at eye level with Shane.
He reached out and brushed his hand along Shane’s jaw gently. Shane’s eyes fluttered closed as he leaned into Ilya’s touch.
Ilya watched it happen, how it was so instinctive… the same way Shane always softened immediately under his hands or when in his presence.
“You’re so responsive for me, Shane,” he murmured, lifting Shane’s chin slightly to face him. Shane slowly opened his eyes to look at him.
Ilya leaned in, bringing their faces close enough that he could feel the hot air from Shane’s breath.
“So tell me something,” Ilya said quietly. “Does Hayden ever get to see you like this?”
“Or is he just playing with my property?”

OR: Hayden finds Shane after the MLH Awards in Vegas where Ilya left him sub dropped & hurting. Hayden makes Shane feel better and the lines between their friendship get blurred. Ilya gets incredibly jealous and fights to win him back. They all end up hurting until they learn how to communicate.
There are both Shayden & Hollanov spicy scenes but *no threesomes* - This fic gets VERY messy and toxic but has a happy Hollanov ending!

Have not finished yet but so far some of the best descriptions of Alexei and Irina. I love making them more complex than shit brother and angel mother.
I love that Ilya got to experience normal fwb situations outside of Shane and learned about his boundaries. It started of a bit slow and simple with how rush ilya acted about the transfer and how simple it seemed in hokey world for the best player to transfer to the main rival team but story got more complex over the chapters and really grew on me -

Sirius has a hard time accepting many things, from Regulus being here to him and James being a thing.
Horrible truths are discovered, and in the end, Sirius could never really let go of caring for Regulus, even when he tried so hard to.
