Summary
Jiang Cheng rolled his eyes, though there was no real heat in it. “You still didn’t answer my question,” he muttered. Who ever said Lans are the epitome of restraint and propriety are clearly lying if their sect leader himself was like this.
There was a moment of silence before Lan Xichen mumbled something into Jiang Cheng’s shoulder, the words soft and slurred with sleep.
Jiang Cheng frowned.
“What was that?”
Lan Xichen shifted again, pressing a little closer, his breath warm where it brushed against the back of Jiang Cheng’s neck.
“Not in Cloud Recesses,” he murmured.
There was the faintest pause before he continued, voice still thick with sleep.
“I’m in bed in Lotus Pier… with my Wanyin.”
Jiang Cheng felt his ears grow warm almost immediately.
“Shameless.”

Summary
It happened on a Thursday, which really should have been the first indicator that something horrible was bound to open. Who offers to go out on a Thursday night to get drinks, knowing you’d have to get up the very next morning? And the worst of it all. He wasn’t a secret operative bent out on bringing down the government. He wasn’t an assigned assassin who decided to keep him alive, choosing instead to torture him in the worst way possible. He was just a terrible person who did a terrible thing. Plain. Simple.

Summary
He sees him in the distance, Zidian unleashed and purple lighting sizzles and hisses around him as if protecting him. The rain continues to pour and he seems to take no heed of the rain as if he is unaware of the dampness of his clothing and the sight of the sorry figure cuts a strange feeling in Lan Xichen’s heart.
Or alternatively seen as the prompt: Storm - 3 sentence fic which evolved into this blubbery mess of words.
