It's been five months since the cessation of a peaceful android revolution. Now recognized as people under US law, androids have access to the same legal rights humans do, including marriage, reproduction, and property ownership.
But androids aren't utilizing any of their hard-earned rights. Years of systemic abuse at the hands of humans have discouraged them from integrating with human society in any meaningful way.
President Warren makes a suggestion to Markus during one of their weekly video chats. Why not lead his people by example? If other androids see Markus enjoying the same rights as humans, won't they finally feel safe to emerge from the self-imposed fringe of society?
In other words: Markus has to get married. Markus, who has never had a single romantic thought toward anyone in his entire, brief life.
Now, which of his friends can he count on to bite the bullet with him?

Summary
Soap doesn’t remember the ambush outside Prague. He doesn’t remember the medevac, the surgery, or the two weeks he spent in a coma. What he does remember is Ghost’s face when he wakes, sitting at his bedside like he hasn’t moved in days.
Turns out, Ghost’s been listed as his “next of kin.” Which is strange, because Soap doesn’t remember marrying his lieutenant, either. However, hospitals only allow family to stay overnight, and Ghost wasn’t about to leave.
Now, as Soap learns to walk again, Ghost helps him eat, move, and stay awake. It’s supposed to be just for practicality and convenience.
But there’s nothing practical about the way Ghost looks at him or the way Soap looks back.
Recovery is messy. So is pretending not to care.
Or: Soap survives the gunshot, and Ghost pretends to be his husband so he can take care of him

Cas is gonna become a hunter. According to Dean and Sam, that means he needs to learn how to efficiently dispose of dead bodies. Cas is good at it, since he can use his power to help out when he needs to, but he comes to learn that 'being useful' doesn't always mean having a shovel in his hand or angelic spark in his fingertips. Sometimes it just means sticking around instead of leaving.
(Basically, monsters die and it's a backdrop for Dean and Cas being uncommunicative and holding hands. Alternative canon from season 4/5 era through to season 9.)
