“Acceptable?” Albus asks awkwardly, laughing a little as he holds his arms out. He grabs his outer robes and pulls them on, hoping desperately that the Great Hall is cold.
“You look very dashing,” Scorpius says, because of course he does, it’s Scorpius. From anyone else, it would sound like he’s being made fun of, but Scorpius’ face is genuine, and he’s smiling almost shyly. Albus needs to sit down.
Luckily, he’s able to do so, having the excuse of pulling on his shoes, but unluckily, this brings him at eye level with Scorpius’ hands. Because the world is cruel and hates him, Scorpius is wearing rings. It takes Albus three tries to tie one of his laces.

"Hey, no," Albus began, tilting Scorpius' chin up so they were looking at each other again. "It's never too late to talk about her. If the feelings are still as raw as they were that day, which they clearly are, and you still both are grieving, then it isn't too late. It'll never be like that." He finished, leaning inwards towards Scorpius and, before either of them could really register what was going on, pressed their lips together. It was short, sweet and slightly too wet (in Scorpius' eyes anyway), but it happened.
"You just kissed me." Scorpius said, in a comment that was meant to remain internal, but of course it slipped out.
or the one where it's halloween, the two have a heart to heart and things yet again grow ever more serious.

It's the first winter after Pitch's defeat. Jack is happy, he's not alone anymore, and his memories are gradually returning. But when a treasure hunt gone wrong puts Jack and Jamie in danger, flinging them through time and space, they find themselves on an island neither of them have heard of before. Jack's first priority is to get Jamie home safe, but Berk's inhabitants - human and otherwise - are certainly not making it easy.
Knowing they will leave Berk and the Vikings behind as soon as they know how to, Jack is not going to risk the pain of growing close to any of these people (or dragons, for that matter). But Hiccup Horrendous Haddock, wearing his heart on his sleeve, doesn't seem to want to take the hint.
